Find me 36/15k lease for a well-equipped Q5 with less than $2000 drive off that doesn’t cost (at least) $100+/month more than this Q3 lease. Forgive me for not holding my breath.
I forgive you. NYCLIFE has a 52K Q5 Premium on his spreadsheet for 665/mo sign and drive (0 due at signing), 36/15, with NJ tax built into that payment. (EFFECTIVE 646/mo)
Not only the Q5 Premium is less equipped than a Q3 Premium Plus with the Technology Package (and s-line), at $52K, this is $11K more than the cost of the Q3.
Plus, I’m paying CA taxes, which are higher than NJ.
So not sure what are you trying to prove?
I don’t like the Q5 and don’t need the size of a Q5. So paying an extra $100+/month wasn’t worth it for me.
BTW - Even this LeaseHackr Pre-Negotiated Deal (when changed to 15k miles) sets the Q5 Premium Plus at an effective $777 (and doesn’t include any of the protection plans I added) -
Congrats. Not sure what the best deal on this particular car is but a new one at 14% off preincentive looks pretty strong. Sometimes even if the final numbers look terrible - ie almost 700 for a Q3, you have to be happy that you got a very strong deal for the car you wanted with all the features and coverages you needed.
Sure you could have also gotten a Volvo xc90 or Mazda cx90 phev or a barebones q5 for a similar or better price and we could do this all day…
To be fair to OP, the pre-incentive discount on this car is solid at 14%. The only available rebate was $1k Costco. OP went with 15k miles. Most deals we see on the forum are either for 10k or 12k miles. At the end of the day, if they are happy with the deal and payment, then that’s all that matters.
At first, I had the same reaction that many other posters did (“You paid what for a Q3???”), but the MSRP indicates that this is pretty much fully loaded, and the mileage limit is quite high (15K). Wonder why buy rate MF is. RV seems shockingly high. So, if people can get good discounts, the Q3 might not be such a bad deal (esp if you don’t require 15K miles/yr).
I got the Audi Care as well (that’s the ‘lease end protection’ I mentioned for $1608).
The ‘executive shield’ is some other protection coverage they insisted I have to take (“paintless dent repair”). Since the fine prints say I have 30 days to cancel for a full refund, I preferred to negotiate some more discount and then cancel after I get the car.
