Thanks, and absolutely, always like to learn, what input/guidance do you have?

$670 a month for a Hyundai is far from a strong deal. Perhaps you’ll have positive equity in it though cause they seem to be desirable. I’m sure the car has a lot of features but for that kind of money in a Bmw or Volvo driver

My personal opinion? There is no planet under which I’d pay $600/month for a Hyundai SUV. I can’t say whether this is a strong discount or marked up MF, but it seems very expensive.

But, you see the value and are happy, so enjoy!

If they offered you that selling price for cash you should have taken it. Is there a cooling off period where you’re located

:point_up_2::point_up_2:I second that. @banya - Enjoy the car. Was there any negative equity rolled into the deal?

This is a solid deal on a palisade limited.

Are there even any states with a cooling off period? It would make no sense for the industry to have one just to placate low educated buyers

While I wouldn’t personally pay that much for a Palisade, for what the deal is in context it doesn’t sound terrible, if you’re willing to pay to play on one of these. You got a healthy discount and base money factor. There’s no rebates to be had so it is what it is. To quote the Edmunds forum moderator:

Little or no incentives will result in such payment I supposed. But OP got a discount from MSRP.

But that’s the whole point, Hyundai is trying to step up to that level.

Personally I had to drop my 5 series for a windshield washer sprayer reacement and drove a 3 series loaner while it was in the shop. Wasn’t impressed and wouldn’t pay the premium for a 3 series versus my wife’s plugin hybrid sonata limited.

They’re not going to be able to step up to that level when they have sub-$20000 cars on the lot alongside $60k+ cars. Their brand equity is garbage compared to actual premium brands. It’d be like seeing Brooks Brothers in Walmart. It just doesn’t make sense

One of my neighbors got the Palisade a few months ago. Not sure what trim they got or what they paid for it.

At the end of the day, as long as OP is happy with the car that’s all that matters.

I am curious what do you suggest that offers the same option list at that price? If you were to strip the logo off this car everyone would think this is a great deal. There is no better value for what you get as far as bang for the buck. There are no luxury brands that come close to this as far as features fro the price. Have you been in the Palisade limited? It is an extremely nice car if you can get over the brand. I understand some people can’t. I have a friend that loves the car but would never get one because what would the neighbors think. I have a BMW M340 and a Palisade limited in my driveway and I will put the Palisade up to the BMW any day as far as build quality and materials. If you just compare the MSRP to the lease price it is high, however if this was made by another company the MSRP would be $75K and this would look like a great deal.

I don’t want to get into this too much on this thread, but the buying and servicing experience at a Hyundai dealer for this vehicle is not aligned with one that costs $600+/month to lease. At effective ~$700/month you’re well into MDX (well past in fact), XC90 territory, X5 territory etc.

Again, some folks see the value and are willing to pay to play - yourself included - and that’s great! It doesn’t make sense to me, at least not to lease.

If you took a time machine back to April of 2002, you would have said the same about Sears buying LandsEnd.

My beloved Brooks Brothers is bankrupt and trying to sell to Simon Bros (who owns many, many malls)

Commercial real estate is in for a couple tough years, especially malls. It is even closer than you think.

Back on topic: @banya congratulations and enjoy. As @mllcb42 said, that is pretty solid deal a Palisade Limited. Post pics in the Trophy Garage.

Congrats on being the first person ever in world history to x-shop a 3er and a Sonata!

Sweet Jesus. Welp there goes the brand equity there. Off to other brands for me. Their declining quality kept me loyal to them (also helps when 95% of your NYC office wears them), but this is going to send them down the crapper even more
