SIGNED: 2021 Chevrolet Camaro LT1 (6MT) @ $355 per month, $0 DAS, $0 MSD

,

Instead of spending last weekend preparing for final exams like I should have been, I joined the LT1 frenzy with the following deal:

Year, Make, and Model: 2021 Chevrolet Camaro LT1

MSRP: $35,195
Selling Price (Pre-Incentives): $34,383 (2.31% off)
Incentives: $1,750 Conquest, $750 Supplier

MF: .00038
Residual: 63%
Term: 39 months/10,000 miles per year

Doc Fee: $549 (rolled-in)
Registration: $350 (rolled-in)

Drive-Off Amount: $0 (1st Month’s Payment rolled-in)
Monthly Payment: $354.75 per month (incl. Sales Tax @ 8.625%)

This deal was super straightforward, with the dealer honoring the supplier pricing, conquest incentive, and base money factor trifecta at the first go-around. No hard add-ons either. There was some meat left on the bone with the $549 doc fee (which I later learned should be waived, in the case of supplier pricing) but I still ran with the deal, since inventory has all but dried up in the tri-state area. I suppose that’s the price to pay for seeking out a manual transmission.

With that out of the way, here’s a little bit on the car. After driving a sequence of BMWs, this is such a paradigm shift. As a surprise to no one, if you are looking for a practical, luxurious, comfortable, efficient, or plain easy-to-drive car… you won’t find it in the LT1. It’s simply horrendous in so many aspects, and don’t get me started on the door storage pockets, which can’t even fit a travel-size bottle of Purell. Despite all of its quirks, however, this thing brings a smile to my face whenever I get behind the wheel. Never expected to be learning how to drive manual in a 455-horsepower muscle car during a New York winter, but here we are.

Anyways, before you ask: no, the dealer is out of LT1s. Feel free to PM me for further information and questions, though. Happy to wax poetic about this car (and deal) whenever I can! Now, please excuse me as I continue studying…

Congrats. I picked up a LT1 last winter in NYC. Winter cold starts are blissful.
I found that the car was able to be used year round, even when it was really cold out. But, when the snow melted and froze over, The car was struggling to make its way up any incline.

I had several BMWs before the LT1 as well. Believe me, when your driving the beast, you’re not focusing on the lack of luxury. All you feel is the power and the loud exhaust

This Msrp has me worried he passed on the dual mode exhaust

Look at the last pic, it’s not there :scream:

Yea I can see dual tips, not quads. Just resonator delete to add some volume

Thanks! I was definitely surprised to find that the car is equipped with a Snow/Ice mode, and it’s reassuring to know that this is more than just a gimmick. Also unexpected were the all-season run-flats―while not ideal for performance driving, I definitely prefer having them now rather than dealing with summer tires in one of our winters (which is decidedly not a fun experience). Guess I’ll just drive the 330e when the roads get really icy, which is fine by me.

Love having the manual, since it really enhances the drive and makes even a short commute fun. At this point, I still have to focus on smoothing out my shifts and not stalling, so the lack of interior amenities is the last thing on my mind. No dual-mode exhaust, so I know I’m missing out on some of the experience, but rest assured it’s already plenty loud for me. Looks like that’ll be something to keep an eye out for on the next one!

Snow Ice mode helps alot when driving on snow, gotta be verrrry gentle on throttle and very early on brakes.

How did you go about getting the conquest and supplier discount?

The Conquest incentive requires proof of a non-GM lease in the household, which is verifiable through a lease contract. For the Supplier rebate, you can check company eligibility and get an authorization number via this link. Your employer has to participate in the program for this to work. Assuming these qualifications are satisfied, all you have left to do is find a car, and a dealer willing to honor them―without playing any sneaky tricks on you, of course.

I just signed on a 2022 LT1 Coupe with 10-speed auto and remote start. $36,790.00 MSRP. Had to put $3k down for first month, tax and fees. My monthly is $349.51. Good or great deal? Btw I’m coming from a couple of BMWs too, what a coincidence haha

What was the lease term?

Term: 39 months/10,000 miles per year

Forgot to mention, I’m in NY. What do you think? I want your opinion as a Trusted Hackr

Enjoy it. Come here first next time…

You’ve signed already, so don’t sweat it. My take is that your payment appears decent at first glance, since programs were worse on the 2022s to begin with, and it appears that incentive cash also decreased this month. Congratulations on the new Camaro―oh, and don’t forget to post photos in the Trophy Garage when you take delivery! I’m sure you’ll love the new car. For me, it’s turned out to be quite the foil character against the fuel-sipping plug-in hybrid in my garage, that of which barely gets used anymore…

Just don’t get caught doing donuts.

I will rub the fact my insurance is cheaper on a trx in pa than this in NYC. Congrats perdana. Also plz text the group chat the summer meetup schedule, thnxs.

Did I get burned that badly? I compared it to this deal: Signed! 2022 Camaro LT1 - $349/month with $1,238 drive-off — LEASEHACKR

I spoke with a lot of dealers, almost all were far off. I even had a few laugh at me for asking.

Please give me your honest opinion. If it’s that bad, I’ll get out of it. A couple of friends want to take it off of my hands for the full amount I paid. TIA

Please see the comment I just posted. Let me know what you think.

You had no GM Supplier and no other rebates it appears…correct?

And you are also in NY where lease taxes are mot advantageous.

If these things are normalized out, your deal is probably reasonably decent.

Correct, no GM Supplier and no other rebates. Just an existing lease in the household.

Yeah, tax isn’t the best out here lol

Sad, I always go for great, good at worst. Decent is nothing to write home about
