This is perhaps the most difficult to hack deal I’ve done so far. I started looking at deals the end of last month, particularly Etron. But when I contacted dealers, they were all out of inventory. The finance manager said she got a Etron P+ with 80K+ MSRP for ~600/month last month.

This month I started looking at A6 due to 3K penfed incentive. I contacted about 7 dealers in my area until one played ball. Many dealers wouldn’t even respond. It’s best to leave a phone number and talk to some one in this climate I think. Got familiar with the manager. He said that inventory is indeed thin, but he is struggling as well as there is another volume dealer nearby (probably one reason he is willing to do this). He also said that the fact that I know all these numbers actually made his life easier, but he wouldn’t do another one like this.

Looks like I may not be fully informed. How did you get the PenFed $3000 discount on a lease? I was under the impression the $3000 was only applied to a purchase contract. My understanding was typically $500 on a lease contract. Please enlighten me.

I think you are referring to BMW. For BMW, PenFed is 500 for lease and different for purchase. For Audi, apparently, the incentive is the same for lease and purchase.

The $3k incentive is for both lease and finance.

Congrats on your deal. I picked my A6 55 earlier this month in the Northeast.

:point_up::point_up:So true.

:100: I always tell folks looking for advice to know their numbers. It makes it easier for everyone.

I know! Your posted deal actually confirmed that the 3K is indeed applicable. Thank you for that. When I contacted this dealer, both the sales and the manger didn’t know about the 3K penfed. Initially we were 4K apart. Then I insisted for them to look it up, sent them the instructions of how to claim. Then they found that about the 3K, and we are only 1K apart, which allows for further negotiations.

Well done! I knew this was possible when I shopped for my e-tron back in March, but in May?! Bravo, enjoy the car.

Most Audi dealers are only aware of Costco. Penfed is fairly new to them. Glad it worked out for you.

how much is your insurance/month for A6. Mine is 1178/6 month with 500 deductible and 50K/100K/50K coverage. I just went with my existing insurer, didn’t shop around. It is certainly much more expensive than my Chevy bolt or X3 I had earlier.

My premiums are less than yours. Coming from a 2018 A4, my premium only went up by $80/year. When I was looking at a 45 A6, the premiums would have gone up by more than $400/year. Go figure. My wife is also on the policy, btw. We have a multi car policy with my wife’s Pacifica (financed).

I am not sure how old you are (no need to say) or how good your driving record is, or whether you live in a densely populated area. I live in a rural area, so that helps keep my premiums low.

yeah, I live in the city.

Had I know a A6 55 is cheaper insurance wise, I might’ve leased a 55. The difference is not that much give that 55 has a lower MF and a 1% higher RV.

I only requested a quote with my existing insurance (Safeco). No clue if other insurers would have charged more or less.

Audi gets some type of discount through Liberty Mutual. I get those fliers in the mail every time but I ran a quote and they cannot touch Geico.
