Wanted to have a SUV in the family. So made the switch from A6 to Q5.
This is the lease on A6 I did Signed 2021 Audi A6 45 Prem MSRP 58580 490/month with AudiCare. First month DAS only . I sold to an AutoNation store for 50K, which gives me shy of 8K equity. So basically, I was given ~1.5K for driving the A6 for 13 months. A tip here: different Autonation stores give different prices!! In my case, one Autonation store was only to give 48K, while a second one gave 50K.
The Q5 P+ I went with has an MSRP of 55K. The hard part is to find one without the semiconductor shortage package. The deal is 6% off MSRP (Audi Affinity) + 750 PenFed discount. I found a local credit union that has 72 month finance at 2.28%.
I am still not sure if this is a smart move, giving up the great deal I had on A6. But we do prefer a SUV for family hauling. For now, I guess this is the best hacking that I can do:).
You had an amazing deal on that A6 but that doesn’t mean you had to become hostage to it, and also, new needs call for new solutions. I think you did great given the current circumstances and your needs. Congrats!
It misses some features that I can live without like integrated toll module, but it doesn’t miss the good ones like side assist and adaptive cruise control.
the toll module is nothing to miss. In my area the toll roads have discounts plan and with the Audi toll module you can’t be part of the discount plans or frequent use plans.
