Signed: 2020 Porsche Cayenne $950/mo

Seems about right for a Porsche, which is not a volume-based manufacturer like BMW or MB is. It is extremely worth if you are considering the deal for the pull-ahead program. Also, consider that a BASE X5 is closer to the $60,000 mark, and even less when adding in a modest dealer discount and incentives like Loyalty.

The best Macan deals have been over $500 a month on CPO loaners with taxes and fees DAS (lease term length is different, but the best value will vary by model). A little less than double that and you have a new Cayenne.

thast about what they run there is not much wiggle room

Puhlease. Nobody come and tell me a Cayenne is not a volume me-too product by Volkswagen Auto Group With a Porsche badge. I will grant the enthusiasts the timeless appeal of a 911, the charm of a boxster and the quirkinesses of even a panamera. Enjoy your Slovakian made Vw, uh Porsche. I am not saying it’s not a nice car but not at 1k. If it shares components with a volkswagen, is assembled like a Volkswagen then it is a???

Blockquote unveiled at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show in March following an online reveal. The Cayenne shares its platform, body frame, doors and electronics with the similar Volkswagen Touareg and Audi Q7. The second generation received a facelift in 2014 with minor external changes, and introduced a new plug-in E-Hybrid version, with its public launch at the Paris Motor Show.[2]

Because you misspelled “collector” in your profile

I agree with you that the Cayenne is definitely a volume product. But they don’t lease them as such; nor do they need to. They aren’t a good “value,” though factoring in some of the most favorable depreciation in the industry helps offset that. However, it’s pretty clear to me from your post that you haven’t owned a Cayenne. On paper it might look like a rebadged Audi, but I assure you that it is much more than that. Coming from multiple Audi, BMW, and Jag vehicles, it is by far and away the most impressive machine I’ve owned.

As like @BrendonSF. A rebadged VW/Audi product does not have a limited quantity, but Porsche has created their brand around these cars being “limited” by commanding higher prices for their cars.

This is equivalent to clothing companies. A white T-shirt is not a rare item, but an authentic and branded white T-shirt with a logo on it commands hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars.

Thousands… amateurs, laughs in supreme.

Someone’s offering 2k for a mint medium LV Supreme box. 10.5 for a jersey, hypebeasts are insane.

I didn’t want to state the specific brand I was referring to

Whenever I see LV suitcases at the airport, I just laugh, they’re so over the top. Apologies to people here who owns them.

I always assume they are fake!

Expensive hand bag purchases ended when the wife couldn’t tell a fake Prada was fake. One of the funniest thing I heard from a Burberry salesman was ‘it’s really easy to clean, it’s PVC’.

Can’t go wrong with PVC - weatherproof and sturdy :money_mouth_face:

lol. the OP just posted it for reference. Porsche is being shied upon here since, there’s no real incentive, no real hacking, etc etc. That’s how they do their business, if you want it, pay for it. If not just move on and hack those bimmers, you can’t beat bimmer hacks. Where can you find a $100k vehicle for less than $600, only bimmers. But, the OP just posted, if you want a base Porsche, that’s a good number to get, 10% off, and just get whatever buy rate and RV Porsche financial give. Unless you want to go GTS, turbos, they have more discounts you get there. Seen some post here for that. LV suticases, bags are just accessories, people buy that to feel they made it. There’s way more expensive purses than that. But LV is just the start, aka bottom of the food chain. lol Suitcases for me, is whatever works, good looking ones and usueable is around $100-$200 and last you a lifetime.

I know nothing about Slovakia, but I did a quick internet search (along w/ VW). VW’s factory alone accounts for 1% of the GDP, and the car industry overall accounts for 13%. It is the “world’s biggest car producer per capita.” So they probably know how to screw together a car decently.

Also make sense that the Cayenne is produced there, since that plant is apparently the exclusive producer of the Toureg and the Audi Q7/Q8. All have a shared platform that, AFAIK, is not shared w/ any other model. So it might be more accurate to characterize the Toureg and Cayenne as re-badged Audis, rather than describe the Cayenne as a re-badged VW.

I dunno; I don’t hear too many people complaining about fit and finish on a Q7 and Q8. The US Toureg was probably one of VW’s best products in terms of fit and finish (although not reliability); I don’t know much about the current gen. Consumer Reports indicates that owner indicate the Cayenne has excellent reliability.

At any rate, I don’t think we see a lot of Cayenne deals here, but the OP’s deal doesn’t seem so bad to me for a car brand that doesn’t have a rep for leasing well. ::shrug::

I grabbed a 911 in 2013 when they had that insane residual. 24/10 pulled ahead 12 months into a GT3. 12 month pull ahead is a real thing. I was close to my contract mileage of 24k and was not penalized.

If I recollect accurately I did negotiate 16-17% off my Cayenne in 2016. So beyond 10% is game.

North Carolina has 3% sales tax?

To match that Porsche for sure! Lol

For auto purchases NC’s sales tax is 3%, on leases you’re just taxed the 3% on the payment amount.
