Fwd “Beamer”.. definitely out of the ordinary
Rented one as well last year. Truly an awful car ![]()
Expedition MAX Platinum with 14k miles from PHX National for a work trip.
Nice ride and the BlueCruise works really well on AZ highways. This thing needs air suspension at an $85k MSRP and high trim level. It doesn’t ride any better than my Sienna at home.
Also black is the only color that doesn’t make the tailgate look wonky.
Drove ok and was comfortable enough. I would struggle labelling it as luxury or the “ultimate driving machine”. It stands tall as a cheap BMW..lol. Great rental nonetheless.
Do loaners count?
Drove it around 400 miles over the weekend. Was pleasantly surprised by its fuel economy—averaged 27 mpg despite driving in a mountainous region and above the speed limit.
m50i as a loaner is sweet!
Have you driven a higher trim Macan? I’d be curious to hear how it stacks up, although I would presume the Macan is the better driver.
Haven’t had a chance yet.
Comfortable seats & ride. Sound system is decent. Power is enough once it kicks in. Some nice features..like automatic lock/unlock, illumination, ground projections, etc. . Interior looks better than exterior imo. Would I buy one? The right spec for a spouse, maybe. For me, probably not..unless I was desperate for third row.
I fully expect this to takeover the XC90 as the boujee soccer mom SUV of choice if XC90 reliability keeps tracking the way it has been.
One caveat is I would say the xc90 has usually had lower entry, or at least the potential to. You could get a decent lease if you tried, x7 is more money.
Then again on the retail side, 100 grand these days buys you about nothing on the nice (new) suv market lol.
the way that X7 looks the exact same as mine (with the exception of the interior) ![]()
I probably should’ve been nicer on the wording lol. I don’t hate how the exterior looks, i just don’t completely love it. I think it’s the rims that are killing it for me. It’s still a nice looking vehicle.
oh LOL dw - i have the exact same gripes with it. My parents drive that car. The base rims are mediocre at best. I feel like the car looks better in the M-sport pack but for a rental car, not bad.
Agreed. The grey with the silver rims just isn’t doing it for me. If it were mine, I’d powder coat black and that’d do wonders. It’s like an old man spec. The vehicle has grown on me though..it’s a nice car overall. I just need a different color scheme lol
How do you charge these on a rental?
This one appears to be the ICE kona
