Decent little car (XC40) - liked the Google maps integration and could fit a full size wheelchair in the cargo area.
I hated the XC40 they lent me while my XC40 recharge was getting a software update.
I’m surprised you liked it.
It’s better then the RAV4 and Blazer I’ve had my last two trips.
Vegas for a few days, ended taking ice over EV, (sixt) nice color i like the interior forgot to take a pic its like carmel, my only luck the whole week its gonna be over 100 degrees here, ![]()

the sixt 5 series are ideal rental cars. nice and spacious, plenty of tech and safety features, and very boring. they’re my go to car to book. just remember to unlink your BMW ID before returning it ![]()
Haha, don’t sweat it, 100ºF is nothing in Vegas, DRY HEAT just stay in the pool all day ![]()
BTW-What’s the $$$ for the BMW with Sixt???
Did they try to lure you into upgrading into an M car or a Bentley too? ![]()
No i did hear about those stories, i ended up doing mobile check out to skip line. So basically i got the keys and left
Will do, thanks for tip
Carrera convertible rental. Hot take - very overrated car. Steering was alright but the rest was meh. Gt3 would probably be fun. @Bumboola @HersheySweet don’t flame me
which agency/service did you rent from? how was that experience
Enterprise SAN. The employees were fantastic. Pickup and dropoff was as simple as when I rent a Camry. No surprises.
They also had 3+ corvettes available for rental. Keep in mind they’re a separate less desirable category than the 911 (Luxury Performance Sport) so make sure you get what you pay for.
Got a Q5 S-Line this weekend, forgot to take a pic.
I think EVs have ruined ICE cars for my wife and I…
The lack of instant torque is something you notice immediately.
On top of that, I’ve found the overall interior quality to be inferior than at my Genesis GV60. Crappy infotainment,..
Fun fact is that this was the first rental I’ve got that had a roof rack on it (except for wranglers).
I rented a Red 911 Carrera Cabrio in Miami a day or two after the hurricane hit…(Irma) dodging all the fallen trees and debris/puddles was fun
was $200/day back in 2017, September
I’m 6’03" and was a pita getting in n out-but the Cabrio helped, just hopped over the door haha
Colorado Springs Alamo last week. Reserved a full size SUV through Costco Travel. Rented plenty of times from National and Enterprise but first time from Alamo, my employer started discouraging the use of corporate code for leisure and gave us a new rate which is not great. I had a backup minivan reservation through Avis. Small airport, not much of a line at pickup, agent tried to sell the extra hail insurance option. Was given the option of a Jeep Wagoneer, when asked if there was another options they also had a ford expedition max which was considered a premium full size suv. Wagoneer had close to 50k and expedition has 30k so I opted for that. Black SUV that had lots of paint damage l, luckily no surprises at turn in. Pretty comfortable ride, it was a 2024. My in laws were given a 2025 in Denver, the interior updates were much better in the 2025, much better use or technology.
You have the base or the s or 4s?
The S adds a lot of oomph like 70 odd HP?
Got an Elantra Limited from Enterprise as a rental car under collision coverage… since when did rental cars come with a Bose stereo, Highway Driving Assist and an actually nice-feeling interior? Or maybe Hyundai’s just evolved a ton since then
Recently spent time in the Yunan Region of China with this Audi rental. Quality levels are right inline with RoW ![]()
oops forgot to hit the Reply button.
It was just the base cabrio. My issue wasn’t really about the speed. the car was just way too refined. Very laid back unless you stepped on it and the transmission mapping was either very aggressive or very chill. There wasn’t any engine noise either unless under hard acceleration.
