Heavily pruning.
(Off-roading is most fun when dodging alligators)
(Mazda’s AWD system shocked me - it’s really good for what it is)

Don’t know why the company I use buys so many of these, but I’m not complaining. Relieving my urges to lease one. I think this is my fourth.
Less than an hour before I landed, Avis emailed me “tips” to expedite my rental, including
Your Silver CHEVROLET EQUINOX 4WD is ready. Go to parking space G20 in our Avis Preferred® area.
Which the app confirmed, up to the moment I arrived at an empty parking space. My name was not on the board.
Waited in line at the desk, reassigned a different SUV and sent to a space that had a minivan. The replacement was in an adjacent space, and 2wd - in app substitutions were not working so back to the desk.

Saturn is alive and well in 2024
I rent through enterprise for work and got friendly with some of the staff. They’re supposed to give me a Kia, Camry, or Corolla. Here’s what I’ve been getting
So far, the challenger RT hemi was the most fun!
Yeah, without the “reasonable” price tag of Saturn.
The piece is still wayyyyy better than anything equinox
I got a Bronco from Hertz via President’s Circle to drive from DCA to a dealership because it was a $35 rental vs a $70 Uber. Dropped car off at the local Hertz HLE, couldn’t find the key anywhere, it was under the passenger seat, kind of a funny situation. Walk in to return, “So I literally just drove this directly here from the airport, I know the key is in the car, but I can’t find it anywhere”
“Must be a Jeep owner”
Bronco sport or a real bronco?
Absolutely perfect for a week in Maui with my wife. Had ≈ 1500 miles on it and was a blast to drive on the road to Hana.
One complaint, no Android Auto and I found the infotainment to be pretty terrible in general.
Turo I assume?
I hope you had stopped for some Huli Huli Chicken. I’m also thinking that is this photo was taken.
Actually no, Hertz President’s club aisle was completely full of these, all brand new. We basically just decided on what color we wanted.
Didn’t get the chicken on that drive, but they served it at the wedding we were at
Hmm, very odd. Must be because they are cheap(er) and have some of the vacation vanity for tourists… I’ve never seen anything like that in any Hertz fleet. Customers LOVE their convertibles & Wranglers in Hawaii.
Had this in Florida last week - GLC300 I think? Pretty meh…if you’d have told me it was a fully loaded Equinox of some other comparable shitbox I don’t think I’d have questioned you.
Is the hatch dented? Wonder how that particular location would get dented.
Honestly, no idea! I don’t think I noticed it, if it was actually there at all. Maybe some camera phone funkiness?
That is bizarre though!
Easy. Opened in a private garage and hitting either the garage door or the metal handle for manual opening.
A clear example of when people shop the emblem
This was last week in TX, if you’re going to drive a car in TX, this is about the only one that fits the mold.
Anyone know what kind of cars National has at aspen-pitkin airport? Do they have executive? Asking as we’re heading there in a week and a half and booked an intermediate but normally pick whatever I want. Want to make sure I get an SUV as there are 5 of us but booking an SUV is double…
