Should I run away? 2024 GLC lease quote in WA

For a starter, I drive a lot and 12k is probably not enough, plus this is WA state.

Sharing a link to the calculator but it isn’t fully aligned so here’s the details from the dealer:

Lease is 36/12k
MSRP: $55750
Selling price is: $47549 (with 699 aftermarket), that’s 14.71% discount
MF 0.00225 (checked in edmunds, this is no markup)
Residual is 55%
Pre-tax monthly is $748

They included some down payment as well.

Should I run away?

Not locked on the car but I virtually see no other non-electric AWD SUVs with Parking assistance in WA. Maybe it’s also a pretty bad time to get a car as well since the leases on 2023 ended on 4/30.

Appreciate your help!

Here’s the calc link (score is seemingly horrible at 6.4):

MB typically does not lease well unless it’s EV. If it’s a buy rate deal with that much dealer discount, I don’t know what other levers you have to pull on this. If you’re already anticipating going over on miles this may not be a good option for you.

Maybe an MB person can chime in.

You can lease a certified pre owned one

So if I get it right, that’s a normal deal for a loaner MB? I guess I mean given the constraints, this seems like a “fair” deal?

This one is a loaner so not brand new

If it’s a loaner you can push for more discount. But if it’s over 14% discount that seems pretty strong for a loaner. Assuming that is all dealer discount and not rebate/manufacturer incentive baked into that number. Do you have a deal sheet from the dealer you can post?

I bought a year old 10K mile CPO GLC loaner for 22% off MSRP last August in SoCal.

but that’s SoCal which is arguably one of the best regions in terms of supply and deals. WA in comparison is probably the worst.

no rebates, all dealer discount. I don’t qualify for loyalty since I don’t currently own a MB

This is probably going to be a “pay to play” vehicle.

What specific aspect of parking assistance are you looking for?

I don’t know if I’d run away, but might be worthwhile contacting California dealers to see if you can find a better deal (even w/ shipping)? How much DAS are they asking?

I don’t think we see many (any?) GLC deals here b/c, as @valek.jw mentioned, I imagine they just don’t lease well. But if this is the car you really want and it’s hard to find w/ the options you want…

Parking sensors specifically. They’re virtually non-existent, even on most entry level GLAs, and there’s almost nothing on other non-German car brands. If it’s a $30k car then I might compromise, but then how much cheaper can the lease be?

I saw some CX-30s just to compare what I am getting for the GLC’s extra price since there are a ton of CX-30s in WA, 3 adults (or even 2) can’t comfortably seat in the back. (as demonstrated in this video https://youtu.be/ecwq-pQYgkI?si=tuFKQZ9KLp4M-FbC&t=281)

TBH, I wanted a GLA, but nothing’s available at a similar price in WA right now.

I actually expected a different reaction here though, I am getting the impression that this may actually be a reasonable quote given the state/mileage/model constraints? in that case I might actually consider it

Do you qualify for BMW loyalty? If so X3 with park assist might make more sense.

I do. But I wonder if there are any in stock with 14% discount in WA

Don’t get my wrong, I think I’d rather spend an effective $800 trying to chase down a Macan loaner unicorn. Or look at an X3.

Are you open to an X1? I don’t think those are leasing well, either, but in terms of size and such, it’s a much better match to a GLA. A GLC is pretty big on the outside (at least, the last gen was).

Honestly, this was one of my main concerns. I would be extremely anxious with street/non-covered parking. I already am with a much smaller car

Yeah I am, but I noticed some of the ones in WA don’t even have a 2-way lumber support for the driver’s seat and that’s a deal breaker for me.

I think if you’re open to XC40’s/XC60’s, look into those. With Costco the programs seem strong right now.

Edit: sorry, meant to tag OP

https://www.bmwtigard.com/inventory/used-2023-bmw-x3-xdrive30i-awd-suv-5ux53dp07p9t08183/ 12.5% for a loaner of the bat, so I think there’s some meat left here. It’s still not an exceptional lease but would be 80-100$ cheaper than the GLC here.

do they still lease 2023s? I thought they were only leasing them through April?
