I’m looking for the quietest interior on the freeway, with the least roll and pitch (I’m not driving it like my E92, just want confident handling).
Fortunately, I have been able to drive all of these in some capacity (some were days long rentals), except the Stellantis products. I’ll be doing that later this month. I’d like to hear from anyone who has lived with any of these cars instead of trying to forecast what my next few years might be like from a 15 minute test drive.
I should have specified I was looking at purchasing a CPO.
The RV for a 36/10 Escalade is like… 56%? Actual SoCal market value of a 3 year old Escalade with 50k miles and no warranty is like 76%. It ought to be one of the best leasing luxury vehicles out there lol.
No discount, no incentives, high MF. Actual RV doesn’t equal MFTR set RV. In theory, if the RV was set to market, yes, it would be relatively alright to lease.
Could I ask if you are listing that as an order of overall satisfaction and perhaps a balance of price, longevity, and quality… or was that specifically in regards to the quietness of the cabin and the perceived/actual agility? Or both.
Forbs, for what it’s worth I last drove a MY23 Escalade for a few days, that had Mag Ride and an e-diff. I don’t know enough if an eLSD is that essential for body control for my regular, pedestrian driving. I recognize it is found on lots of performance vehicles. I am coming from an SUV that feels like a 4D motion simulator at Universal Studios sometimes.
I believe the higher Yukon trims can be optioned with an eLSD, albeit with air suspension. The latest Denali’s seem to come standard with Mag Ride and coils on the front, multi-link rear (edit: like the Escalade).
I feel a consensus is forming that confirms your suggestion. There’s a gravitation towards a Yukon with its acoustic laminate glass on the front windows over a Tahoe, plus being equipped with a magnetic ride suspension I really enjoyed in the Escalade.
Tell that to the adults that comfortably sat in the back of my carnival on trips.
Carnival has .5" more headroom, .5" more legroom, and 1" more hiproom in the 3rd row than the yukon xl. It is down about 2.5 inches in shoulder room though.
