Does anyone have any information about the Santander/Mitsubishi Policy for One Pay or security deposit? The dealer is telling me that the One Pay option has the same Money factor as a 24-month amortization, which does not make sense. Edmunds did not have any information.
Are you playing bingo with brands to avoid?
I am not following?
Somehow you’ve chosen one of the worst banks and one of the worst manufacturers.
@max_g Thanks for the heads up, but with all due respect, it is irrelevant to my question.
Lol and maybe he’ll use United Automobile Insurance for coverage and buy his gasoline from Bubba’s gas n go.
I don’t recall seeing any posts about one pay, but, regarding the Outlander specifically (don’t know if that’s the model you’re referring to), I do vaguely recall several posts in which a few people had difficulty getting the dealer to honor the advertised national deal.
So @max_g’s post is not totally irrelevant (although they possibly could’ve provided a bit more explanation). Nobody who wants a decent lease is dealing w/ Mitsubishi dealerships or Santander.
So there is not much info to be had, and I suspect that you may not have any more luck than did the other posters.
Lots of great 4xe leases would say otherwise.
Ccap=Santander
Oh, had no idea!
What do you think the issue w/ Mitsubishi leases has been?
Could be different rules for mitsubishis. Could be clueless dealers.
Biggest issue is its a mitsubishi.
Thanks everyone for your Mitsubishi concern. Maybe I should clarify. I was looking at Outlander ,which has same platfrom and engine as Rogue 2020(before Nissan replaced the 2.5 engine with 3 cylander).
As far as finance, they use to use Ally but seems they switched to Santander which is the same as CCAP.
You might want to look at what kind of Payment / Down they are asking for this ‘Alternative Rogue’.
Since Mitsubishi doesn’t have a stellar rep, you might want to look at a different car / bank.
I am also interested in the outlander pHEV $285/month deal for the month of Oct. Would love to know how can I bring it down to almost a 0 DAS.
I just signed a lease tonight, will create a separate post but it was basically the same as the advertised deal:
24/10
$381/month (tax included)
$1999 DAS
I know a lot of people don’t like Mitsubishi, but my experience was good and I really like the car so far.
Did you just call max’s wisdom irrelevant? I am sorry for the pain you are about to experience… From these brands…
Different strokes and all that. Congrats on the new ride!
Who was the lessor?
I have received a lot of private messages about this topic. Unfortunately, I have received a lot of negative feedback on this subject, which I did not intend to bring up. I won’t go into detail about my methodology for leasing, but for the Outlander:
I have never looked at the national/regional advertised offers. I always obtain my numbers from Edmunds and then input them into my calculator. I put my target price into the calculator, which you can see in the links below.
PHEV SE , 45K MSRP , target is $430 without reducing MF : CALCULATOR | LEASEHACKR
PHEV SEL , $47500 MSRP , target is $482 without reducing MF: CALCULATOR | LEASEHACKR
Based on all of the above, these deals are not convincing to me unless I can reduce the Money Factor (MF) by using a security deposit or if a one-pay deal is available. My reason for considering a one-pay deal is that I have a trade-in, and in Florida, I can offset the tax with a one-pay deal, which would save me 7%. This deal is still better than the current Nissan offer in the marketplace ($440 for the Rogue SV).
Congrats, I did not pay attention to your post , but can you share the numbers? were you able to reduce MF?
You dont get a trade in tax credit on a FL lease, just because its a one pay
Definitely wasn’t ignoring the wisdom. I may regret this but it’s a 24 months lease with an effective $240/month and I will save even more not filling up the tank.
MF was .00167
Residual was $28,964
