Free business idea: I buy your new EV* and lease it to you, we split the tax credit. Let’s raise $100M

Only if the company will be not profitable for the 1st decade but has the promise to turn the automotive lease market on its head & has a technology aspect to it.

disrupt the word is disrupt. You can’t sell anything nowadays unless you are disrupting some well established business model. (doesn’t have to actually do anything, change anything or make any kind of sense. Just use the word often enough and with enough conviction)

  1. Sweep profits like a Carvana officer :white_check_mark:
  2. once we nail leasing new EVs, we’ll raise more money to lease almost-new cars (to clear out the 1-year-or-less cars the 3rd parties bought at MSRP) :white_check_mark:
  3. shitty Electron app and website :white_check_mark:

I’m only available for this venture if the exit is a private sale to an asshole billionaire - no IPO, no financial institutions. Otherwise take it and run.

Brilliant long-play, not good for cashflow in my proposed scam, until new ones are off stop-sale and being produced.

The only pretend money I accept is Liden Dollars, exchanged on the LINDEX (:face_vomiting:) inside Second Life. I am the half-Galvitron/half-CareBear on the island of Misfit Toys, sponsored by Blockbuster Online.

I think the bigger crypto #whoops today is Compound

It looks like the EV tax credit made it into the Build Back Better framework. EV tax credit increase to $12,500 makes the cut in Biden's Build Back Better framework - Roadshow

Who knows what shape it will take but if it passes as it is now it will be interesting to see what happens regarding automakers passing on the full rebate. I have a tough time imagingin, in this climate, many will pass on 10K or 12.5K. Might make purchasing more appealing, especially for cheaper EVs.

Caveat - potential income phase outs are not known yet.

I’m very interested to see if they cap the MSRP’s like the previous House bill… it really set a tight limit for sedans from my memory.

Time to order a Model 3 LR before the price goes up since there will be $8k tax credit on it starting next year with the new bill. Unless Tesla changed things, an order now locks you in the current price and deliveries can be pushed up to 3 months making sure one can take delivery in 2022…

If the new bill passes the # of 4xe, Pacifica, Tesla and lightning flips will be absurd.

Depends on what passing it does in regards to PHEVs
