Rodo: 2021 Toyota Highlander XSE AWD NJ

Hello All
New joiner here. I was curious how the forum feels about the Rodo app. I really like it from a user interface experience but don’t necessarily trust the pricing they offer. In the market for a 2021 Toyota Highlander XSE AWD. Below are the numbers they provided. I understand there maybe more information needed to figure out if this is a good deal or not, but this is all Rodo has provided me prior to me ordering the car. Please review and let me know what you guys think.

Toyota Highland XSE AWD
MSRP: $45,836
Monthly: $486 x 39 Months Sign and Drive ($486 due as signing)
Miles: 12,000 per year
Bank Fee:695
DMV: $999
Taxes: $1,387
Residual: $27,960
Disposition: $395
US Bank: MF 0.000550
Zip Code: 07871

My bad in advance as I know I am missing the selling price of the car. I can’t see what discount they are offering.

There is an extensive Rodo review thread here worth taking a look at. Sometimes they have great prices. Sometimes their prices are a bait and switch. There’s really no way to know which is which.

Get in touch with @Jrouleau426 as you will get a much better deal than what I see here. I have seen rave reviews and myself might get one this month, just waiting for a piece of document to get back in touch with him. Go to marketplace and check out the rates.

Thanks! Yea I checked it out and it seems the bait and switch seems to be an issue in some instances. I just can’t deny how well the app functions.

Last few years I got 4 cars from them never had a problem with them. They used be honkers. No bait n switch for me

I’d be around 440 but don’t have any. If you want an Xle then 400 or less.

Who would pay this much for a mid trim Highlander?

Tbh I thought it was a fair price. I also checked a Pilot Elite and it was $566 Sign and drive. Do you have any suggestions for a better deal? Open to different SUVs as well.

I did one with honker when they first started, it was a good experience. Recent reviews have been interesting.

Check shared deals for Highlander platinum and Pilot Touring etc

Or browse through the Marketplace

I don’t care for the platinum and it would cost upwards of $550 a month sign and drive. Additionally the platinum is my eyes has very identical features as the XSE. XSE looking significantly sportier and also has a better tuned suspension. Also checked the market place there was no effective Pilot elite or black edition that was lower then $566 a month sign and drive.

You’re entitled to get whatever you prefer but for the benefit of anyone else reading, the Platinum was substantially more features than the XSE.

The XSE has basically the same features as an XLE, but with different bumpers.

Tbh I couldn’t find anything different besides, actual leather, a bigger infotainment screen, and bigger wheels. The XSE has a completely different look due to the rear front and side skirts. Personally I don’t see the value of paying another $100 per month for those differences. If I left anything out, please feel free to add those differences. The XSE just looks so much better. Same case for the XSE Camry, Avalon, and so on.

Are you saying there is some phantom V8 or something that comes with a platinum lol? Not trying to be difficult but I can’t justify the extra $100 a month.

Those bumpers is what got me though…they look so good.

I think the more important point is that you’re paying a $100/mo premium for those bumpers

Where did $100/m more come from? No point comparing against some garbage quote. Benchmark should be deals on this forum which you clearly couldn’t be bothered to search.

Those bumpers and that awful red interior which I’m obsessed with that the moment. So you are correct, unfortunately lol.

That’s a really good deal for the Op and in SoCal. I have absolutely have no intention of doing MSDs…that being said he is $454 with a $4,100 Drive off all MSDs.

I don’t know what garbage quote you are referring to but Rodo and one of the dealers here are all in the same range for the most part +/-$20 a month no MSDs and a true sign and drive. Additionally, you mentioned benchmark deals, don’t deals vary by region or state? What’s the purpose of posting a car leased SoCal when I am buying in NJ?

I only signed up to this forum now but have been watching for a very long time. Proclaiming I didn’t do a “search” is a largely false assumption.

There is no reason to be so snarky with your tone of comments. We are all here for the same goal, and having a civil conversation. You came in pretty hot and heavy with your “who would pay this much for a mid trim Highlander comment,” but additionally provided no real valuable input otherwise. If you can manage to beat the Rodo number apples to apples on the specific XSE version in any capacity, will be happy to buy you a beer.

What do the numbers work out to if you use the pre-incentive discount from that target deal and apply the local programs?
