That was an analogy. I wasn’t suggesting that tampons and Kias could be used interchangeably.
The point was that we are more likely to encounter ads for products that interest us, or that we would otherwise be at least somewhat likely to buy.

You can thank Johan de Nysschen for the Infiniti and Caddy naming changes/debacle.
He got fired from Cadillac last year, didn’t he?
Yes, but his product pipeline was already in play. IIRC, he got axed from Infiniti too, but can’t recall for certain. To be fair, nothing in Cadillac’s lineup has resonated with anyone under 65 for years now, so I can kind of understand why he tried to shake things up on the naming front there. At least he was smart enough not to touch the Bread and Butter Escalade name. Messing with Infiniti’s already established naming convention was just plain dumb IMO.
He’s back at VW now.
Man I remember when I was in my late teens/early 20s, The local dealers were pushing 3rd gen Integra sticks for 99/mo leases. They were a blast to drive, and quick for their time. Nothing resonates with me in the Acura lineup like that anymore.
And now he’s at VW! Yikes, yikes, yikes.
My 99 Integra GSR still one of my all time favorite rides. That thing flew with it’s 5 speed transmission.
I had that exact car! Same color and pkgs
Was great.
Wheels were beautiful and mine had the Bose speakers by your shoulders on the seats…
Good times
This was a premium more costly model, yet interior volume was very comparable to the q50 and the tech was still crap
This model evolved to fail
Yeah, Acura had it so right for a long time, but lost it when they started naming everything alphabet soup. The last cars that I drove from them that wasn’t boring (to me) was the RSX Type S and the CL Type S.
If you can find one locally, drive a 4gen TL SH AWD 6MT. It’s a pretty spectacular car, aside from the beak and massive overhangs
