Range Rover Sport 2019 purchase or lease....2016 Range Rover Sport Trade or Sell

Start negotiating with ~15% dealer discount and see where you can settle. I would think ~%10 off would be nice for a special order vehicle though I would be surprised if they would even give you that.

Thank you so much Mike. This is so hard for meā€¦just not something that comes natural for me and really hard to gather up the courage!

Full disclosure, I am not an experienced in Range Rover leases although as much as I follow it is not a brand to get easy deals with. You may also want to try to look for 2018 and loaners. Hiring a reputable broker is also an option and will most likely pay-off its fees and save you money.

Thank you again Mikeā€¦ Iā€™m not interested in a loaner or 2018ā€¦ Definitely want a new rover like I do every few years But want to be more mindful with my numbers this yearā€¦ How do I hire a broker? Can you recommend where to find one?

Sounds like u need a broker save yourself a headache and contact him he can hack a deal in all lower 48 states.

Check out the broker reviews section of this website. They usually charge a flat fee . In an expensive transaction like yours , they will probably do better than what you can do yourself. You should still do due diligence on the numbers though.

You are not getting 15%, let alone 10% off a Range Rover

This is HIGHLY inaccurate.

Iā€™ve been driving range rover sports buying them and selling them back to the dealer after approximately three years for approximately 9yrsā€¦ not considering switching from Range Rover sport I ordered my new one and it in and Iā€™m considering leasing it for the first time because Iā€™d like to cash out and put the money in my pocket. The same dealer (who has become a friend) sells (or leases) the cars to me for $500 over dealer invoice. Iā€™m attaching my three options for leases please let me know which one is the best deal and if anyone who is devoted to Landrover thinks I can do better? I custom ordered the vehicle pretty much the same way every timeā€¦ I will not consider changing to any other models/color combination. If I do lease it will be 10,000 miles per year. I have excellent credit so the rate he gave me shouldā€™ve been the best he can get.

Heā€™s not being a friend, heā€™s giving you less than 5% discount, def not anywhere near invoice.

Some friend this dealer is, a 4% discount on a sold unit doesnā€™t seem like anything you couldnā€™t achieve at any other dealership. Since you have your build already you should shop it around and see where you land. 33 months is the best term as you can see so go with that.

I have the paperwork for dealer invoiceā€¦ dealer invoice is $73,448.81 the way I order itā€¦ heā€™s doing the deal at 74k cap cost

Actually the dealer is a very good friend. His Christmas bonus depends on the sale, so he is very friendly.

I think there is no other option other than Daphne to bite the bullet and say ā€¦ hey this is much more than I afford and I need a bigger discount. Friend or not ā€¦

Sometimes we even have to call out our spouses as they just have ridiculous demands, so I donā€™t see why we canā€™t do that to our dealer-friendā€¦

thank you all for helping me. Honestly, I just donā€™t understand the numbersā€¦when I go back to him please explain what to say and how to present it.

Well ask for a bigger discount. and if he says canā€™t go below invoice, then tell him you know that they canā€¦

At least thatā€™s a first step to making your voice heardā€¦

Land Rover dealers are notorious for not negotiating on prices, despite the fact that they are in fact, a high-end volume manufacturerā€¦ Theyā€™ve made enough terrible deals elsewhere so if this dealer is really your ā€œfriend,ā€ theyā€™ll cut you a bigger discount, they can definitely afford to do so.

You need to read the Leasing 101 and similar articles. Everything you need to understand has already been explained there.

Max I work in functional medicine, Genetics, and nutritionā€¦ Iā€™m a science girl even when I read those articles it just doesnā€™t translate to me thatā€™s why am hereā€¦ it makes my head spin I have enough science going on trying to deal with my patients :upside_down_face:. I just want to make sure I get the best deal and leasing with these presents deals DOES significantly increase my payment but I just would like to pocket the $47,500 Iā€™m getting out of the vehicle Iā€™m driving right now. If I purchase I have a finance deal at 2.99% from USAA but I really just donā€™t want to purchase this timeā€¦ so here I am trying to get the best lease deal I can and trying to understand The numbers as best I can but as you all know Landrover dealers donā€™t move much on price. Iā€™ll go to another local dealer this afternoon & price out the same build but itā€™s likely theyā€™ll do the same thing. the dealers in my area really donā€™t negotiate muchā€¦Boston. Unfortunately my custom build that I built last July is sitting in the lot with the other dealerā€¦ and the longer I wait the lower the value on my 2016 vehicle becomes. I did shop around to other dealers to see what they would give me on my current 2016 range rover sport and everyone else is below what my dealer is giving me (I did have a minor accident where the bumper was replaced which brought down the value in the System.). I buy white Range Rover sports with ivory interior and Zebrano woodā€¦ thatā€™s my go to each time & I donā€™t vary

You should have him rerun the numbers for you with 10k not 15k so you can actually see the real lease prices. Eitherway these arenā€™t great deals, I know you are dead set on your color combo but I would definitely be looking at other dealers. Honestly it sounds like you should really hire a broker for you to do the legwork, youā€™ll save money this way. This dealer is not doing you any favors at all.

These are numbers for 10k. Numbers Iā€™m getting from other dealers for a custom build are moreā€¦Iā€™ve been shopping around on the phone
