When I was visiting a dealership, the sales person said that I would get $21000 off of MSRP in incentives. This adds up to $20,300. So not sure where the other $700 is
Also, how do I find out what would be the reduction in MF if I decide to go with one pay?
Another question I have is, If I have one or more stock numbers in the proposal, is that better for getting the deal? Some dealerships do not have the car in the color I want. So should I ask for the color or accept the color that they may have on the lot?
One more question is about the MA state rebate for EV (called MOR-EV). Does that go into lease like the federal rebate?
Still need to figure out a reliable selling price, dealer fees, service fees and government fees to build my contract. Plan to send out the request to dealers in nearby states as well (NH, RI, CT) Is there any restrictions on which states I can go to?
Just realized that I will need to get appropriate numbers for the other states, so I might reach out to the dealers in other states only if the numbers are similar.
Need help with building the lease proposal - I am following the proposal format from this post - Building a Motor Vehicle Lease
Here is what I am hoping I can get for a 2025 Honda Prologue Elite AWD in MA. Does this seem too aggressive? I have looked at the various signed prologue deals and it does seem a tad bit ambitious.
If you don’t know, I don’t know. Don’t know whether your data is accurate or not. That’s on you I just crunch numbers. So, I treat data as a given.
In the LH Calc, input your Edmunds base money factor and then, check the one-pay box and the new money factor will appear below it. I can’t vouch for its accuracy.
I doubt it. You’re just letting the dealer know that you’re considering on vehicles. Just be sure that the window stickers match.
That’s your call.
Dealer cash is in the right place, but I wouldn’t mention it. Under capitalized amounts, change Lease Financial to Honda Financia.
I don’t know. You need to research sell prices in your local market to arrive at an appropriate dealer discount. Remember, dealer discount and dealer cash are two different things. Deler cash comes from Honda.
What you have done is nothing short of impressive to say the very least.
Thanks! It’s bit of a steep learning curve. Second time should be easier
There are a few errors in your proposal. The following should be amended…
Thanks. Must have made some mistakes in the CCR calculation. Will update (and will check my calculations to see if I find the mistake)

LH Calc does show new money factor. And it is very small change. I think I am OK with monthly payments. It more of a curiosity of how much one pay would save

Yeah, looking at edmunds, reddit, leasehackr, kelly blue book to get some idea of selling prices in our area.
Thanks Once again. I will update the proposal with your suggestions and will ask any questions that come up.
So before the 5k dealer cash you’re at $53,000 selling price or 11.45% off. Where did that number come from?
Edmunds suggested that as selling price for this car in my zip code. (exact number $53,027)
Put all incentives untaxed for MA
From reading around, it seemed that $7500 was untaxed in MA (but taxed in some states) while conquest and captive lease offer are always taxed. So to be on the safer side, I decided to put all of them as taxed. I will need to figure out where to put the untaxed incentive in the proposal
Doc fee shouldn’t be more than $449-499
In MA, that is another crapshoot, each dealer makes up their own. MA does not regulate that price. I will go with Doc Fees as 499 in the proposal.
About 20 dealers around me. Only 10 had at least one Elite model in stock or in transit. Reached out to them. Only two came back with lease proposals of their own which are about $130 away per month. Still waiting on 2 or 3. Will see how this goes. May be someone will be more accepting by the next weekend. May be they will be more interested in moving Touring. (Lot more of those available). Will try that next, though I would prefer Elite trim
When using the calculator, you input the pre-discount money factor in and then when you select one pay, it makes the appropriate mf reduction. Doing it the way you have it input would double discount if the mf was higher and when sharing the deal details for evaluation gives incorrect info (hence the questions about why you would bother with a one pay based on the info you provided)
Have you considered the Blazer EV (RS Trim, specifically)?
Same platform, plenty of tech goodies at that trim level, and if you can find a dealer with a demo/courtesy unit there are quite a few confirmed one-pay “Signed!” deals posted around the $4k-$5k range on 24/10 elsewhere in the forum. That would leave your effective monthly at <$200. Seems like a much better deal for what is essentially the same car.
Correct. There’s a hard $55k cap on Mor-EV, including destination. Whatever the final number is on the manufacturer Monroney must not exceed $55,000.
