Prediction that other EV manufacturers will react to Tesla price cuts

Their quarter was a disaster. They guided an extra $1b just 3 months ago, how do you miss that bad in such a short time period?

Less incentive to cut prices from Ford and GM because of the new rule update

“Customers who have purchased and placed in service vehicles since January 1, 2023, that qualify under the EPA Fuel Economy Labeling classification standard announced today and who satisfy the other clean vehicle tax credit requirements can claim the credit, including customers with vehicles that did not qualify under the prior EPA CAFE standard.”

It was an ugly Q4 for sure.

Interesting part is starting Q1 2023 Ford starts reporting ICE and EV individually. As they split to Ford Blue and Ford Model E. Discrete P&L’s for each unit going forward.

Wow $8250 off C40s, $651 w 4k + TTL = ~$800 / month

Yeah still translates into shayt leases. Base Teslas are the best value right now on a lease.

Whenever I come to this forum, I feel like a moron for really enjoying my Model Y. In reality I’m a moron because I ate paint chips as a kid, not because of my EV feelings.

No one hates Elon enough to pay $800/month for a C40

I’m a big Volvo fan, my wife really wants an EV, this is still not appealing
