Popeyes Chicken Sucks

Ranch One in NYC was the best chicken place, while it lasted. I think a couple of Israeli guys opened the first store and then quickly sold it to some wise guys. Then it went downhill, fast.

Ranch One was great! Kenny Rogers Roasters too.

I’m ashamed to admit that I never tried Popeyes. Chick Fil A is good though, I like it.

Ever try Pudgie’s? I miss that place too.

I’m not ashamed to admit the same about Popeyes.

Nope, no idea what it is.

I’m not even a foodie but anything made out of frozen chicken is the worst.

1mm of seasoning over cardboard basically

I am so jealous. Back when I used to be in the office, me and some co-workers would slip out every now and then and drive out to Bellevue for Chick fil A… We’d always get a lot of questions when we came back hahaha

Thank you, thank you.

How is it that your lifetime in the app is less than your current available tho, that seems odd.

They changed up the rewards program shortly after i joined and the conversion of points ended up with me getting some extra points for free or something. I can’t quite remember.

don’t come between a man and his chicken!

The Crack Shack (now six locations, 5 in Southern California and one in Las Vegas) serves my current favorite chicken sandwich, the Firebird.

The Coop Deville is also really good, although to be honest, you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.

Firebird

spicy fried Jidori thigh, cool ranch, crispy onions, pickles, potato roll

Coop Deville

fried Jidori chicken breast, pickled fresno chilies, lime mayo, napa cabbage, brioche

I would be remiss if I did not mention the Crabby Chicken from Jimmy’s Famous Seafood in Baltimore.

I think this has been implied, but not directly stated: The spicy chicken sandwich is far superior to the regular one. Those who won’t try the spicy and don’t like the original are probably SOL.

On the topic of alternatives, a local VA chain Big Buns has an excellent chicken sandwich dubbed the ā€œFrickn’ Good Fried Chickenā€

Its pretty frickn good

The spicy chicken sandwich and the spicy fried chicken are as good as it gets, I didn’t know they had popeyes in lala land.

I find their chicken breasts far better than the soggy mess KFC serves…
