But sometimes, it’s best to go in person, especially at quarter or year end, and ask for their best price on aged inventory, like 180 days or more. Or a loaner sandwich, also great chances for a unicorn. Not all chains do loaners though, you gotta do you research first.

We don’t have White Castle in Canada but between KFC, Churches, and Popeyes in my youth and later spending two years in southwest Virginia, I’ve met my quota of fried chicken for life already.

Last time I had a Popeye’s sandwich I think I got one of those. It started fine and got progressively worse with each bite until I just threw it out. Something tells me in NYC they have more “aged inventory” than usual at the moment at these places.

Can’t get a good fried chicken in CA… moved here from GA and southern food’s the bomb… which by extension includes CFA, Popeye’s and Church’s :wink:

Buffalo wings are definitely one of those things that are just better homemade, but are a giant pain in the neck unless you have a deep fryer. Gotta use good chicken though, those little frozen wing portions suck.

Craving some good LA (Louisiana not Los Angeles LOL) Gumbo rn :sob:. Cajun crawfish, hush puppies, and gumbo are my favorite.
