I always liked Volvo’s, but I never knew the extent to which the components were Chinese made and if any data is passed from the vehicle to Chinese servers. Chinese companies are partially owned by the Chinese government and are susceptible to forced data surrender.
China is the single largest corporate espionage threat and I find it hard to give money to a company that will in some way use my money to further Chinese government activities.
It’s a shame, I’m such a fan of Modern Volvo’s now.
