I maybe buy an EV as a second car eventually, I had a Tesla and had zero complaints with EV functionality for day to day use.

My DD at USNA has about 2 years before she’s sent off and wants to lease a cheap car. I saw a $168 a month Nissan Sentra deal recently. Something like that would be perfect. Would like any advice or brokers willing to help out (no worries on the fee). She wants something now (this weekend if possible). 24 months. 10k miles more than enough.

You can look into a CPO Ram 1500 Laramie Hurricane and be under $500/mo with a ballon loan. I tow a 21’ Sea Hunt CC in the summer and 2-place clamshell snowmobile trailer in winter. Happy with its performance so far and much better range then the EV trucks. Has both heated and ventilated seats. See:
Mid-size? Full-size? Do you mean 1/2 ton (1500) or 3/4 or 1T (2500/3500) and not smaller trucks like a Tacoma or Maverick, etc?
You need to be careful with what you buy with those needs. 5 (full size?) people in a 1500 towing 7k is a large ask for a 1500 (1/2 ton truck) depending on the engine in the 1500, the length of the bed, options, size of the cab (crew or quad), 4x2 or 4x4 and for sure what is in the bed while towing (total weight).

If I were you, depending how much and where I was towing, daily driver or not, etc, I might want to look at a 2500 3/4 ton gas rig as well (although the lease will be awful).
You do not want to be at the limits or over of your truck specs when towing for GCWR, GVWR and payload. Many actual horror stories out there about people getting in a wreck that wasn’t even their fault, but then having issues with insurance or a lawsuit because it was determined they were over specs as well.
