Does anyone deal with Chevy leases? I’ve been stumped by how much Chevy is looking for on a Equinox lease, given the reasonable sales price, high residual and low MF. If anyone can explain what Chevy is up to, I’d appreciate it.
That said, please let me know if you can help:
Year/Make/Model or Budget or Vehicle Type: 2020 Chevy Equinox AWD 1.5L engine (2.0 would also be OK if price is reasonable) with confidence & convenience and infotainment packages (color isn’t a huge sticking point, OK with demo/loaner)
Term/Mileage: 36/12 or similar
Region/State: Tri-state (NY)
Preferred method of contact: PM
Special qualifications, if applicable (recent grad, competitive lessee, etc.): N/A
I have researched the MF, residual and checked out TrueCar to see what discounts are available. Chevy’s own site lists 15% off MSRP on Equinoxes. I have reached out to several dealers and each comes back with a similar monthly figure - in the $400 range with $0 DP and taxes rolled in. That’s pretty atrocious for a car with a $33K MSRP, 15% off discount, ca. 58% residual and low MF.
Have you made any offers? If yes, they’re reasonable, and they’ve all been shot down with no reasonable counter, expand your geography, wait, or perhaps select a different vehicle. Good luck.
