Opinion on Broker Issue

FCA made nice Q4 4xe sales numbers, so they can start limiting sales now. Watch for them cutting/removing EV credit.

There will always be plenty of cars for everyone at msrp+. Funny how that works.

Yeah, how’s your Defender doing? lol

I don’t own nor have ever owned one. But I could buy one used or buy another brand. As much as there’s supply constraints in autos there’s still a market for anything you want. Just be willing to pay.

Does Chrysler have to allow 8-10% off orders right now? ExCtly… they want market share. A derivative of the same greed as the op that wants to flip

I don’t disagree with you, btw. Nor do I promote socialism lol

I’m just saying if Chrysler wanted to prevent this they could charge more or like someone else said stop 3rd party sales. In the meantime, exploit it. That’s capitalism

Or block them from buying. They have that right too. Unless it’s a gay wedding cake…

They can just simply cut or remove $7,500, but they wanted sales. They don’t care what you do with their cars after they are sold.

Cheaper to pass the tax credit on than to buy carbon credits from tesla

End of they day I’m just saying I don’t fault the guy for flipping for profit. And the broker is also exploiting the situation, not in a bad way… just refund op

And I’m anti 7500 tax credit FYI. Unnecessary but the agenda is well layed out for evs. Nothing about that is capitalism. Again though. If it’s there, exploit it. I’d take the 7500 if I wanted an ev

I really don’t think they’re doing this to stop people from making profit on a sale.

I think they’re doing it to make it more fair for everyone who wants one, dealers included, to get units.

LH is only one tiny portion of the car buying public.

It had to be enough of an issue nationwide for them to take action.

For all we know, they may be focusing on the dealers who are all over the Jeep forums advertising lower prices than everyone else. I’m certain other stores see that and want to take them down for reducing their market share.

If all of a sudden a small town store is 10x in volume, writing deals from all regions, especially on SRT vehicles, it’ll certainly raise some flags.

@mllcb42 - what about a Sep thread for motorcycle flips…?

This is more likely.

Its all over. Everytime there is a post about 4xe on facebook a broker or regular people respond that they need to order one for x percent off. People had nothing else better to do during covid and got smarter especially since local places had no inventory and they were forced to search elsewhere. My local lots had maybe 1 new jeep marked up thousands and it probably wasn’t even the right color/trim that a person was looking for. These dealers defintely hate the under invoice dealers.

Perhaps a door will close here and a window will open with Frontier trucks.

I have been pondering getting one :joy:

What amazes me is the amount of people paying sticker while actively posting in the Facebook groups and forums flooded with those posts.

Keeping up with the Jones’ is still a thing.

I think it’s really odd (or unfortunate) that Chrysler is choosing to go after and penalize customers that are merely taking advantage of the market that their own dealers have created via insane markups.
