An A4/A5 under $400 with little down isn’t gonna happen. Closer to $500 is realistic to expect.
Other brand at that price would be more like Infiniti or maybe Acura.
Search, read and ask questions in A6 threads. There are tons of them. Or hire a broker.

You should be aiming for a 320i. If you search any of these models you’ll quickly see what you are searching for is impossible.

This thread was to filter out the 600+ posts that would have been closed right off the bat, and clogging up the marketplace section. Short answer: Yes this is a wish list.

Where are you located? There is a lot of cash on 18 S90. You can easily get to the low $400 or better on a loaner.

Go to NJ, there are some dealers with tons of S90. In NE: T5s have $7,200, 0.00031/50% 36/15 (T5 MOM AWD). T6s - $5,750, 0.00056 (may be typo, other terms are 0.00076)/50% 36/15 (T6 MOM)
