Even when they’re wrong, they just need you to admit it’s your fault. They usually mistake big timing for charm.

@GOAT hacked from a SFL ! That alone gets him a Ring !

Yea I would be curious to learn more about this too

Ah, struck a chord did I? With my absurdly comical request for quotes on 2 cars - I get it now, my bad.

Better come correct to these brokers, bent over and wallet open — or you’ll get  blacklisted :scream:

Happy Sunday! Welcome to leasehackr and the meme
Lounge. As @aronchi would say

Oh yes I’ll just give you $600 to NOT give me a quote on a car, perfect

You’re at fault for not properly reading through his posts. You woulda known exactly who you were dealing with from the outset

Nah, I feel like he’s right to be annoyed about not getting a response, (from one sales guy to another, even a automatic, ā€œhey I’m not available, I’ll get back to you in 24 hoursā€ would have helped) but everything else was a crap show from the 1:30am texts to the blacklisting from brokers.

130 am text not withstanding. If a random broker ghosted me, I’d prob move on. But to hear that he attempted to ā€œblacklistā€ him with other brokers should not be allowed here. That’s BS.

Can’t blame him for that. Imho, that kind of disclaimer should be stickied on some broker page :stuck_out_tongue:. Ex: will call other car ugly. :stuck_out_tongue:

If you’re offering deals on repeat customer only, you should not post it on public forum. Send out emails/texts to those customers.

Honestly, from what I’ve seen, the car brokerage business is probably one of the shadiest businesses I’ve seen lol. And I’m a licensed realtor/formerly licensed GC! (Ive heard rumors of brokers not filing taxes, taking money from both sides of the transaction, marking up cars that are publicly advertised to be cheaper, selling cars they don’t have, and other stuff lol) This pissing contest doesn’t help the businesses here or the website.

I could go either way on that. I’ve turned down large fee clients because they were assholes, and I’ve told local colleagues to avoid them like the plague too. The potential customer wasn’t owed a thing, and they are entitled to nothing. A business transaction is a two way street. If a customer doesn’t like the way things are going, they can move to another option. You start running your mouth about how displeased you are publicly… play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

No legitimate business person would respond to an aggrieved potential customer in the manner this broker did. But it’s par for the course if anyone actually follows his tone and demeanor on these threads. So many better options out there

We’re talking about automobile sales through a franchise dealer network. The ā€œlegitimacyā€ of this business evaporated decades ago. Some have learned to sell without being so offensive (yay most of the LH marketplace!) But the vast majority of folks in auto-sales take pride in how much abuse they can dish out and still make large sums of money. They’re lauded for their aggressive tactics and attitudes.

See, I don’t even think the double-dip would be unethical. If everything’s transparent about pricing I think I could live with a finder’s fee going on both sides.

This guy’s entitled to run his business how he sees fit. I think I’m equally entitled to, well, post our communication verbatim and let other people judge for how they want @CarRhino.

I think that’s just called transparency - and if you’re uncomfortable with that, well… Welcome to the internet, people talk about experiences and business they like and dislike without much of a filter.

I thought it was a rude awakening - the staggering disinterest to conduct business, and figured I’d share my experience. Clearly it’s par for the course for some, equally alarming for others.

I’d rather do business with someone who would be alarmed by rather than mocking my situation. I’m convinced at this point I’ll be able to hammer out a good enough deal on my own at the stealerships – I look forward to seeing you all in Signed! with a 15+ year score.
