Suppose I get(hack) a good lease deal with high MF, isn’t the obvious way to improve (double hack?) it to find another lender to beat that rate? Unfortunately, regular financing basically means I would have to buy the car. This works for capturing EV credits I guess. Now the real question …

Is there such a thing as bringing your own financing to a LEASE? And what are the pros and cons of financing the lease vs financing a buyout to workaround a high MF?

Edit: I guess there is an Option 0 that comes before option 1:

• can i buy cash to capture a cash only deal, then line up financing

Option 1 : Finance a buyout

• you just bought a car. Only useful for EV credits or big leasecash
• rent charges on the car attract sales tax buy financing interest do not. So this would win for the same equivalent “APR” yes?
• if you finance it immediately would it be considered a new car?
• what if it takes a few months to buyout the lease, would it still be considered a new car?
• I see buyout recommendations for end of lease buyouts here (Lease Buyout Financing Recommendations - #6 by Ursus). Would an early lease buyout use the same lenders or different ones? Are there different considerations for early vs end of lease buyout financing?

Option 2 : Finance a LEASE

• can you even do that?
• can we do that from the get go and sign directly with the 3rd party to provide lease financing? The dealer still owns the car but financing is done through my leasing company
• if I do this really early, would there be a lower “new car” rate?
• how can i find such lenders (if they exist)?

There is not, no. You either use the captive and/or the dealer is already setup with an alternative bank (eg Ally, CULA) that leases.

Car Dealer says GM Supplier Discount requires my friends license and paystub

Hello, So i’ve been trying to lease a 2024 cadillac lyriq and a very nice gentlemen here provided for me a supplier code generated for friends and family. The dealership is giving me a headache to try and use it, claiming that “we need the supplier’s drivers license and paystub or employee badge” I asked my friend and he mentioned how, thats not required. The dealership even send me over some paperwork where it says it is required. Anyone have a document where this is not required?
