FYI, BMW now makes the original lease owner pay the transfer fee. It looks like their policy has changed. You can still work it out with the person taking over the lease (that’s what I did).
By the way, how do you expect to get paid for your down payment and MSDs? I am curious how it would work. Is it a trust system where you expect the person taking over to send you the payment after the assumption is complete?
