Hi, do you get emails? please see the ones i sent earlier today and let me know
Hi nyclife, are you seeing your emails?
How can I speak without getting blocked or banned?
FYI, BMW now makes the original lease owner pay the transfer fee. It looks like their policy has changed. You can still work it out with the person taking over the lease (thatâs what I did).
By the way, how do you expect to get paid for your down payment and MSDs? I am curious how it would work. Is it a trust system where you expect the person taking over to send you the payment after the assumption is complete?
For all my transfers I collect my due at signing before handing over the keys.
No cash = no car
Thatâs interesting. Technically, you have no legal rights to the car once the assumption is complete.
I personally never put any downpayment, MSD etc for this reason because I always get someone else to assume my lease before the end. I was just curious how you handle that sort of transaction.
Technically, you could get fucked up for not paying the agreed upon amount.
Based on what? Verbal agreement?
Not an attorney but I believe written correspondence which expressly states, you are agreeing to pay me X amount in exchange for assuming my vehicle, can be legally enforced.
I am also not an attorney but if you have something written, you might have a shot. Verbal agreements require a witness AFAIK. However, no one in their right minds would pay the legal fees to follow a case like this.
What is the scenario you are envisioning that you hand over keys without payment?
If youâre asking me specifically, I would never put myself in such a situation. Thatâs why I was curious.
Hypothetically, the person might come with the cops to take over the car youâre legally required to give. All they would need to show the cops would be the BMW emails/documents sent over for the transfer.
I donât want to take over this thread
I was just curious how these transactions work.
Hypothetically, you should bring the cops to check for monsters under your bed on an hourly basis.
I guess itâs nature. Damn!
Are the e53 wagons not selling well?
