You want the sfs programs, not the ccap ones. Ccap only gives $3750 ev incrntive. Sfs gives $7500.
You can get the $1000 brand site private offer easily. There are threads on here that explain exactly how and when to go to jeep’s site to get one. The rest aren’t happening.
The sahara has $9000 dealer cash on it, so keep that in mind when setting discount targets. That dealer is listing the vehicle with $0 discount. For that to be a good deal, you need another $5-7k off before the ev incentive/tdm.
Thank you for the quick response. Rate Findr only listed the SFS program, so how do I go about getting the CCAP for this car? Do I do ask the dealer? Or I have to go find a dealer that does CCAP?
Thank you for the tip about getting the private offer TDM. I googled it and I think I figured it out.
I’m not clear what the difference between dealer cash and discount on the MSRP. I will do more research in that aspect.
You only want SFS (or Ally, since they’re a good bit cheaper at the moment, but more limited).
Dealer cash is an incentive from the manufacturer that is given to the dealer to apply towards the deal. Dealer discount comes from the dealer themselves. You’re negotiating the dealer discount. Dealer cash has the disadvantage that it’s a bit less transparent, but now you know it exists, you can negotiate accordingly. It has the advantage that the application of it is generally treated as an untaxed incentive, rather than taxed.
If you’re shopping the Wrangler 4XE, prob better to look a the Rubicon trim. It gets $18,500 in rebates (with TDM) over $9,000 in rebates on the Sahara.
Rubicon is the way to go
I’d forget all local dealers in the tri state. They’ll prob mostly likely just sell you the car at MSRP minus rebates cause they know there’s a ton of rebates and will show it to you like they’re saving you $18,500 off MSRP etc
Go with a broker here and get one for 12/13% off MSRP plus all rebates.
How does one find out what dealer cash is being offered? I’m also shopping for a Wrangler, and I’m wondering how to get up to date incentive information.
In the case of dealer cash, ratefindr and the ccap site don’t show that info and dealers aren’t likely to be forthcoming with that info. Checking the forum here is probably the best resource.
If the dealer cash changes for September, I’ll post it up today or tomorrow
Hopefully you’re right about the incentives taking some time to update. I had a dealer tell me this evening that he’d get me pricing in the morning when the new incentives are released, so maybe he knows something is coming. Or maybe that’s just wishful thinking on my part.
