Never been an Amex guy. Didn’t realize they were that valuable.
They are worth even more if you can use them optimally.
I generally cannot.
I (quite charitably) refer to one MR as a penny that’s just a lot harder to spend.

GM Card is good if you have a GM vehicle or a loan with them. 4% back on everything. I basically pay half of my escalade note from cashback.
GM have two cards, one for supplier and one for non-supplier. I accidentally ended up with non-supplier one. I believe the supplier one has a better rate of point redemption for statement credit (100:1 instead of 400:1).
Yes consumer one
I thought that card was pulled from the shelf, but otherwise great card.
Actually you might be right… I tried to get my dad one and he is like I cannot find it.
Edit: It seems like Barclays is taking the card over from Marcus…

- Marcus is no longer accepting applications for My GM Rewards® Mastercard®, GM Business™ Mastercard® or GM Extended Family™ Mastercard® products.
How long have you had the Chase Sapphire card? If longer than 4 years since you earned a SUB on it, downgrade it, wait a week, then apply for it again since it is at 100k points right now.
I’m waiting on a new 175K+ point link with NLL. Just finished earning 200k on a previous one from another member on here.
I need to get another card… imma downgrade my other two cards before renewals hit.
chase?

solid offer, but i think the 150k from the venture x and 2x points on everything is a better all-around offer.
Gotta get ‘em all cuz yolo.
I’ve had one Amex card that has netted ~500k points in the last year, 150k platinum upgrade from green business rewards (prorated fee), downgrade back to green business rewards after fee hit, then 190k gold upgrade, then another 120k platinum upgrade offer for that gold (plus the points on the spend to meet the minimums).
Yeah I have 3 platinums but going to downgrade 2 to green and wait few months
Any decent grocery reward cards besides silly Amex with $6,000 spending limit for $95 a year? Or their free 3% version.
AAA Daily Advantage card. 5% up to $500 annually. No annual fee.
Just received this information about Dell benefit while trying to downgrade a platinum business today. Apparently, the Dell benefit doesn’t completely go away.
For Dell:
Any eligible purchases on the account from 1 January 2025 to 30 June 2025 are eligible to get up to $200 statement credit
Any eligible purchases on the account from 1 July 2025 to 31 December 2025 are eligible to get up to $150 statement credit on US purchases directly with Dell and an additional $1,000 statement credit after the Card Member spends $5,000 or more with Dell per calendar year. It means that you can get up to $1150 Dell credit per year.
