Nissan ARIYA Discussion Thread

I’d take the 18… new EV cars (and lower leases) still coming.

Most likely one off. I’ve extended my Leaf lease in Sept 2023 for 3 months just by asking till Dec 2023. Past 3 months is hard though

Received a nice surprise in the mail today from my ARIYA personal assistant Lisa. Yeti tumbler and hand written card for each of my ARIYA leases. Nice touch Nissan!

I know some others who got this, was thinking I missed the window, but you give me reason to hope.

Wow! I got a bottle of wine from the Dealer…but nothing from a ‘personal assistant’

Wait what??? We get even more stuff with $250 leases??:joy::joy:

Anyone sell their wallbox yet?

For those who got the Empower+, what is your opinion of the Bose sound system and the autopilot system? Also does the car have a side view camera monitor on the dash when you pull the turn signal?

No Ariya stereo system is going to blow you away. The Bose is better than the factory default, but it’s still not an audiophile’s dream. Nobody is choosing an Ariya for its entertainment options. You should try one out if you haven’t.

And no, the Ariya does not have the ability to have the cameras come on automatically when you turn on the turn signal. The camera system can be turned on via a button at low speeds, and it will turn on automatically to assist with parking (or when backing up), but it does not engage automatically when driving like your Tesla does.

That’s unfortunate about the cameras, it’s a missed opportunity for extra safety.

One thing I’m not clear about because the Nissan website is so poorly laid out with details, does the Bose system come with the Empower+ or do you need the Platinum for that option?

The Bose system is exclusive to the Platinum trim.

that sucks - it’s a huge price increase over the Empower+. I will go back and test it again at another dealer that has the Empower+ in stock and listen to the system, but if it sounds like crap, I may need to rethink - but my alternative of renting an Ioniq 5 isn’t going to give me a great sound system either, although it will fill in the time gap until another car is in budget.

You have to make contact with your ARIYA personal assistant to be considered for the promotional gift. Give your personal assistant a call and request a Yeti tumbler.

FYI - It’s a very tight fit in the ARIYA cup holders… not the best choice in size.

I reached out to Lisa via email. Looks like it worked!

Bottle of wine sounds nice! I got a keychain from my dealer.

Here is the email I received from Lisa, my “personal assistant”, a few days after leasing my Ariya.

I have an Ariya Evolve+ and Platinum+ and agree with @DuckyMomo assessment of the Bose sound system. I was disappointed to find it is not a big difference from the base version. It has more bass, most likely due to the subwoofer in the trunk, but does not compare to Bose system that was in my 2019 Maxima SR. I was expecting the same or better and disappointed to find it’s not even close. Based on that, I wouldn’t recommend upgrading to the Platinum+ soley on account of the Bose system.

It appears this is not fixed… Anybody getting an Ariya check your VIN before pickup.

New nitpick for Me

The Driver Infotainment Map (Which I never use) is not synced with the Infotainment built in Map.

The infotainment doesn’t contain roads for my 50 yr old community but the drivers map does. And this is without my phone plugged in.

And Yes, last night I had to reset my mirrors…again. I’ll turn off the folding ability for a week and report back.

I got a call to verify shipping address. Albeit after it was already shipped and delivered to the “buyers winter house address” of the person who bought it from me.
