I jave given it to a broker but I’m trying to learn as well. Are you a broker in texas?
No but there are many @brokers who can help.
Anyone in TX.
@delta737h since not only Texas, but also Washington State has its lease tax specialties, as I keep hearing (but never quite understood): Can you please help me in understanding those?
Does WA State taxe the sell price or the monthly payment? Where can I find that out?
I believe WA taxes the individual monthly base payment streams while TX taxes the sell price.
You can check WA sales tax practices at Home | Washington Department of Revenue and TX at Home Comptroller.Texas.Gov
Time for first maintenence service.
Based on info below it is completely free.
Should i expect any surprises from famous Nissan service department?
My local dealer told me I get 2 free tire rotations (6m 12m) and 1 free air cabin filter (12m).
No other services needed AFAIK
Now that lease support has ended on the 2023 Ariyas, what are the dealerships going to do any leftover inventory they might have? The MSRPs on these 2023 models are 10%+ more than the 2024 models. In addition, the 2024 models have lease support… so the net price difference between these is absolutely HUGE. Never mind that 2024 is a newer (and by assumption: better) model, and hence more valued to any buyer.
I tried to get in at the end of July on a low payment lease for a 2023 model, but it seemed like dealers were not ready to fully play ball (at lease not for the low payment I was offering). You’d think that the $15K in lease support would have been enough to move these.
Going forward, are there any more deals to be had on these few remaining 2023 models? Meaning: are dealers going to discount these tremendously to move them? Otherwise, how - on earth - will they move them? By tremendously - I mean - discounting to the level matching or beyond those levels before lease support ended.
Anyone have experience with this?
At this point they either can
- Super Discount the car and sell as Purchase only.
- Send them to Auction
- Look for a sucker.
Thanks forbs.
Is there “a typical” percentage off that these things sell at auction?
- Meaning: in auction, do they typically sell for 70% of MSRP (or the like)?
Oh godz no. Hahahaha 70%
If you have Manheim (Dealer Only) or BlackBook (There’s a hidden link somewhere on this forum, search for it), you can lookup how much those cars are wholesaling right now and that’s the bottom line the dealer will take.
The real key is Days on Lot. Something like CarGurus can tell you this. If more than 180, then the discounts start, at 365 the discounts will peak and that car is ready to go to Auction.
Wholesale Ariya’s are going for under $30K depending on trim. I actually think they are one of the better used EV deals, especially if you find one under $25K and can apply the used EV rebate. Look to the secondary market for 2023s, balloon loan if you want lease like financing. Dealers holding the bag at this point aren’t gonna let go.
You can’t use the Used EV Rebate as it requires 2 model years…so a 2022 and the first year of the Ariya is 2023
Yes, you will need to wait 3+ months. It will happen.
Basically Ariya is leading the trend .
How much are Ariya platinums going for wholsale rn? And how much work was it to acquire a dealer license?
Yikes! 70k (Or maybe 60k? I forget) car wholesaling for 31k. My RV on my Evolve FWD is like 36k (2023 numbers) so that’s just disgusting.
Msrp was 63k…30k drop in under a year
