I used to work at SiriusXM, who built Nissan’s apps (along with other OEMs). I worked on this app and its functions in my first job

I left the job because all these features were absolutely useless, and our leadership was unable/unwilling to add new features because of OEM pressure.

Do not pay for these features, they’re useless and a complete waste of money

Can I tint my Ariya windows if I’m on a lease?

Yes i did looks so much better. I did 5 percent in the back all windows. I use the rear view camera mirror to see easily.

Of course, but if you have an Venture or Engage, it’s going to be rough since no digital mirror.

Sorry to jump in on the discussion with a few questions as I have been off for a while and suddenly stumbled upon very aggressive numbers on the Ariya which fills many of my needs (larger than our 3 series, short lease and EV)
Wanted some of your 2 cents on ownership of the car. (Real life range, fwd vs awd…)
But mostly what is the best trim in terms of value vs options that i should focus on, and are 2023 leasing better than 2024.
Finally, any southeast dealers or brokers you can recommend? I managed to alienate a few local ones when I was hunting for a pathfinder deal in early 2023

I got an Evolve+ AWD and it’s nice! Drives very comfortable and it’s generally a better packaged EV than my other options (EV6, Ioniq 5, Model y - Too expansive)

Good performance but nothing too crazy. My range is rather disappointing at 200~240 miles ish at 75miles cruising but I think everyone else got better efficency than I do for some reason.

Charging is not as bad ad it seems on paper. But I usually need longer break after 3~4 hrs of driving and it maintain fast charger longer to outpaced those that charged faster at peak.

Curious how does Ariya compare to Polestar 2 - I am trying to decide between these two for my second car. Have a volvo currently and not to worried about driving range.

75 is too fast for good efficiency with the dual motor drivetrain. Dial it back to 68 and you should see a difference.

I got pretty high at my trip driving it to Keywest. Got even closer to 4. Too bad I think 70 is too slow on highway most of the time… I guess I will just deal with efficiency loss.

Ariya all day. Rented a Polestar 2 for a week and it was pretty bad (Hertz, rear wheel drive) The rear seat is mostly nonfunctional, charging is slow and inconsistence. But the driving dynamic and lower center gravity feels great and gives a lot of confident. (Only long term drove Polestar 2 and Ariya so I can’t tell about other cars)

In my testing pre heat mostly don’t needed right now (I’m in east coast)
Was testing to see how early I should turn it on and turn out without preheat it still goes 130kwh for this weather

Idk if I’m just lucky or something. Was in a trip from Atlanta → Keywest → Indianapolis. Charged at EA at least 10 times. Had no issue with charging speed if the charger actually works. 130kwh EVERYTIME.

Had very bad experience with EA with my rented polestar 2 but turn out it’s decent

I’m on the same boat. 2.2miles per kwh. What’s ur cruising speed?

I hit the 130kWh charging speed using a 350kWh EVGo charger! Normally only do 87 or so, not sure why.

Was there any conclusion on why Nissan marketed the Ariya in Sunset Copper color but then decided to not produce that color lmao? I found one in the entire state of Colorado among 12+ dealers. :face_with_monocle:

It was pretty common down here in CA.

Anyone have any 12V battery issues, or are those not as common as the Internet would have you believe, haha?

Also curious about the touchscreen UI responsiveness when using CarPlay. Any issues there?

I’m thinking of getting an Ariya and just want to make sure there aren’t any widespread issues before finalizing. I currently have an ID.4 and have been very happy with it. Just want to jump on the 2023 Ariya lease deal and try something new. Seems like very little downside in doing so unless it’s going to be 18 months of regret.
