New Lyriq lease

,

My Lyriq is due back at the end of this month. While I know we won’t get close to our 2024 lease numbers, I’m only receiving crazy numbers from dealers. I love this car and would love to get into another lease of the same car. Any suggestions/hints? I’ve sent emails to all dealers within 100 miles of my zip and I’m just not getting anything reasonable in return.

Lyriqs have cooled a bit, but Id search outside 100 miles. I got one for my besties in Philly from Illinois

If you ask a dealer how much they want you to pay, they will tell you.

Work out a well-researched target deal based on the current market and your personal situation and make them offers. Don’t bother with receiving numbers and hoping for something good.

I’m in the exact same situation.

Following along for advice.

What’s the best offer you’re getting?

I’d target 9-10% off MSRP (pre-incentive) in a decently competitive market.

On a 24-month term, the payment itself will be highly variable depending on incentives you qualify for (e.g., Costco, GM Card Signup), tax rate, registration fee amount, desired annual mileage, and vehicle MSRP. GMF does a pretty good one-pay discount, too.

Build out your target deal on the Leasehackr Calculator based on actual inventory available and applicable incentives!

$700 mo/$1800 DAS. And that’s for a loaner. We’re at $465/mo ($1800 DAS today).

Thank you for this. We’re happy to move to a 36 month, but these Lyriq’s seem to lease better at 24 months. Costco isn’t there right now (I had hoped it would be back for June). I had also hoped that end of quarter, things would loosen up, but that doesn’t seem to be the case. How much should we target for a courtesy car? There seem to be a fair number of those out there.

Did you have it driven back to Philly on a flat bed? I’m not opposed to this at all. How recently?

October last year, they drove it back themselves

I highly recommend becoming a Super Supporter so you have access to all the incentives for which you qualify. You will have a MUCH better idea of what kind of deal you can get if you have all the information. There have historically been incentives on courtesy cars\loaners (definitely was on mine), so concentrating on those is probably a good idea.

As @michael said, aim for 10% off pre-incentive, then add in all the incentives you qualify for and your desired terms in the calculator. Once you have all of that information, send offers to dealers on specific stock numbers based on the calculator. You can use sites like cargurus.com to see how many days a particular stock number has been sitting on the lot for additional leverage in your offer. Send offers to dealers as far out as you’re willing to travel. You have to be OK with most of them turning you down or countering because all you need is one “Yes” to make the deal.

Thank you, all. We ended up in a loaner from our original dealer. The TCO is about $2000 more than our original lease, but those numbers were nearly impossible to meet today. We created our ask and sent it to dealers within 100 miles. I will say that most dealers don’t have a TON of Lyriqs on the lot right now so that makes negotiating more challenging. I think that had I been willing to take an Optiq I would have found a better deal.

yikes—been looking at a few signed deals where they had success getting 15-17% off msrp for loaners/courtesy vehicles. This is pre-incentive.

for example: (MAY) 2025 Cadillac LYRIQ Lux 1 Loaner, one pay $8000 24/12k - #6 by peterpicki

Are they just unicorns or we can at least aim for them first?

I was able to pick up a 25 luxury in February 2026. My net monthly is 275 on a 36/10. Was new. I have been searching for more, was able to get 1 in March for a friend a bit closer to 400. Nothing since then.

You never make the shot you don’t take! It’s worth it to make the ask. I wasn’t as successful as others have been but I also only looked within 100 mile range. I couldn’t find any 2025’s in a Lux 1 either. I will say that I do love the included Super Cruise on my 2026 and I have finally gotten used to the lack of a start/stop button!

Probably also important to note that the Cadillac Private Offer of $500 expired on June 1st and Costco Exec expired back in March. So a lot of the incentives that were helping to create these great deals are gone.

I’ve been struggling to find something reasonable too - ours is expiring soon and I’m struggling to justify paying 1-200 more for the same vehicle or worse.

but still out here throwing offers out.

Still waiting on replies to a bunch of emails sent out last week - think they saw the ask of 15% off msrp on loaners and they probably cursed me under their breath and clicked delete

2 years ago, the $7500 EV rebate was available. Now that it is gone, you are probably not going to come close to the lease numbers you got then.

I would suggest resetting your expectations or look at other vehicles.

PENDING - I have a white on black demo available 24/12k 2026 lux requires GM card conquest supplier I got another demo.

NY 8% taxes and fees included. In person signing within 3 hours of nyc.

Must sign in person this weekend.

it has been a total grind this month. I’m like 30 dealerships in as well.
