If it were a super serious issue I think they’d stop you from driving the car.

Right but we’re talking about a June remedy and no dealer is going to put us in a loaner, let alone S Class, until then.
@holeydonut yeah I’m inclined to just let it be. MBUSA said there is no “stop drive” and the dealer said that a recall notice has not even been sent out to the existing cars on the road.

Lol very true but I see more S classes on the road than SL.
The R230 was the highpoint of the SL’s history. Timeless design too. They never got back up in the saddle after that. May as well kill the name now.
I had a SL55 once and it was awesome all around but the top kept messing up. Traded it in for a CLS55
Dang big stop sale on GLS and GLE (with 6 cylinder and 9 speed trans). No fix identified yet. All those hackers hunting for those 400 remaining 2023 GLE450 and GLS450 are out of luck.
