Mercedes G-Wagen EV discussion

A lot of people also like the V8 rumble. Even the last-ten G550 had a V8 but now it is an inline-6 and maybe not selling as well. Or at least the G63 is still commanding ADMs but the G550 and G580 not.

21 on the lot now

I saw that  But CA dealers usually suck

I have had MB of WC on their knees on a few deals. Always way too much inventory but of most the managers that are shotcallers will make it happen for you if you are even remotely reasonable depending on the time of the month, quarter and year.

I had a chance to test drive it, this car is a very unique car. Drives good, corners good and most improtant much smooth suspension than G63. Has a fake noise but sounds much better than Taycan

The prices on these are going to fall and that’s when we all will swoop right in. Market luxury EVs no longer exist. And those who love G Wagons are buying G63s or 550s that have the V8 engine. For this to be out and you have dealers asking for msrp or below should tell you everything you need to know.

Most importantly, does the door close sound the same as the ICE version?

Yes, it does ! They didn’t touch the things that make G-Wagon a G-Wagon

I wonder what type of numbers Fletcher Jones is doing on these. And is Chau still on the site giving great deals at Walnut Creek?

So far, the best quote is MSRP with base mf and you can imagine the numbers.

Cheapest one (of 7) on Manheim

What’s the range? 230 miles?

230 sounds pretty dismal. If so, may be less painful if it comes with free 2 yr charging from EA!

Better be complimentary charging for life at that price.

Doesn’t have official epa yet but will be somewhere there 230-250

For 2025 models there’s a choice of a free wallbox or $1,000 charging credit on EA. Charging at MB chargers is free for 2 years, but those are few and far between.

Any deals yet? My EQS and other lease ends in 3 months and I’ll combine the payment and get one car and I can get these bad boys at 35k off I’ll be happy to swap over :stuck_out_tongue:

All the reviews are surprisingly positive on the electric G, if they end up getting even near the EQ market today, lots of hackrs will chase them as their EQ leases end. I love our EQS and really liked our Land Cruiser before I flipped it so in a bizarre way this electric G is an amalgamation of the two so I am definitely intrigued if they get below $1k/month with 0 DAS…
