For a Mercedes if we are first negotiating discount off MSRP will dealer cash (as reported by Edmunds) that is only available for a lease gets applied on top of the discount we have already agreed off MSRP? For example, dealer is offering $5K off MSRP (and at this point I have not let them know whether I am doing purchase or lease). After I agreed to their initial discount then I can let them know I want to lease and than the dealer cash (i.e. $1000) is added to total discount which would be at $6K now? Of course dealer cash will be taxed in my state.
