Mercedes-Benz GLE 350 Demo Car

I was at MB dealership today looking at GLE 350, and the dealer showed me some demo/loaner cars for sale, one had an MSRP of 73k, but he would only give me a 8k discount, this is a little over 10%, does that seem right?

I should add that I am looking for a lease, they were offering 10k/39 month for 927 a month with 900 down

Then you probably need to look at something else because the GLE hasn’t been hackable in a long time.

I just want to know if they can do better then 8k off considering this is a loaner/demo car?? Or is that the best I’ll get

GLE350 Loaner, 15-20% before any incentives

thank you!

You can get a gle53 for a bit more…

Somebody can do better than that. Not necessarily this dealer.

And the point was that it’s still going to be a shite lease. So that’s a tremendous amount of effort for no payoff.

Why is it a shit lease??

Gle 53 are like 100 k MSRP at least, 30k is a more then a bit more unless I’m misunderstanding something

Because the RV/MF/rebate combination sucks

I haven’t checked GLE350 vs. GLE53 myself, but MSRP is often not at all related to how one model leases vs another.

what luxury SUV would you recommend then? would a GLS 450 be a better deal?? I have looked a BMW X7 and the best deals I could find where 1k down plus first month payment and 1259 a month, which is more then I want to spend.

You can look at Infiniti qx60 in the Marketplace

In general among SUVs you won’t beat the net spend of buying a Lexus product.

Among German SUVs you probably won’t beat the net spend of financing an X5 at 1.99-2.49% APR

Thanks appreciate your insight!

In general, the GLE350 has not leased well for a while. It’s getting a bit better, but they really aren’t a very attractive lease now. As some have said, the GLE AMG53 is actually a somewhat attratctive lease. It’s a lot more car then a GLE350. It may be worth exploring. There are several current GLE 53 data points in this forum.

And as @max_g said, the Infiniti QX60 is by far your best value play in the premium non hybrid/EV SUV segment.

So if I wanted a GLE 350’would you recommend financing ??

I just have zero desire to buy a German car and keep it outside its warranty window

Buy and keep it 4 years. Or six if you extend the warranty.

My crystal ball is in the shop right now. But from what I understand the GLE350 is a fairly reliable vehicle. I actually bought one myself a few months ago. Does MB have any kind of promotional financing now?

I had bmw 5 series and repair cost on it were more then the car is worth. Just parts and labor in general for German cars are outrageous, which imo is why they depreciate so bad after warranty period. I think they have 4.99 financing, I think bmw is at 2.99
