Mercedes Benz EQS Lease Superthread - 2

I thought it was 24’s have free unlimited 30 minutes and 25’s were given an option of a $1000 charge credit or free MB level 2 charger?

MY2024 comes with unlimited 30min EA sessions as well.

2024s come with 30 min EA just like the 2023. I’ve had both.

Typo…fixed.

Had inspection done on my 23 EQS 450+ SUV to prepare for turn in this Friday.

11,800 miles, Front tires at 4/32, rears at 3/32. Never rotated.

Cost to replace the rears was 440 each. Getting another EQS, so total cost comes out to 380 after the $500 loyalty damage waiver. Don’t think I can improve on that number before turn in on Friday, so +15/mo to my effective monthly unless anyone has any ideas? I’m in LA.

Interestingly, Merc did not care at all about road rash on the rims that I consider pretty nasty. They were clearly photographed with a ruler held next to them, and still considered normal wear and tear.

Check FB or Craig’s for used tires (if you have time still do it)?

Check ebay for tires

Autovin found one of my 17K-mile SUV tires under 4/32, the rest 5/32. So I called MBF’s about that, and they literally told me about getting a used tire to avoid charges, but that I can’t now because I had the pre-inspection done.

Doesn’t matter to me because of the $500 waiver with the new lease, but I found that funny.

Can you share what you go? Thank you

At $380 charge I’d skip the hassle of buying and changing tires, as you still need to buy them, install them and spend your time. Interestingly when I turned my lease I had 2x3/32 and 2x4/32 self measured. So I fully expected to pay and never done autovin. Then I saw Merc’s own report (I think they order autovin regardless) and there was zero wear charge.

Can you request a second inspection at turn-in?

I’m sure you can. The whole idea is that they give you a chance to fix the issues AutoVin finds. I think they were suggesting that they would be looking for a new tire.

Trying to get a good deal on the '25 EQS 450 AWD, seen some of the great sign offs and called today on one in stock locally, gave me a MF of 0.0009 and RV of 52% on a 24/7.5k, said I qualified for $7.5k EV, $7.5k fleet (employer) and $10k cash off. MSRP is $116,885.

He used the fleet & cash to take MSRP to $99,880 and then the $7.5k as a rebate and landed at a monthly of $1,585 with $1,585 DAS.

I called and asked about dealership discount of MSRP and he seemed firm that the $10k was from them and not manufacturer cash. Said I was looking to achieve 20% off MSRP before incentives and left it there.

Based on other signings (perhaps more '24s) it seems reasonable to get 15-20% off MSRP before incentives and looking to get $500s Monthly with $0 down.

What am I missing here that I’ve either completely misread or misunderstood or have I got to keep bashing for MSRP discount before incentives?

You are missing:

Construct your target deal using LH Calc
Put in on excel
Copy & paste it to your email.
Email them to dealers within 500 miles
Rinse & repeat.

Thanks! On a nationwide search this is apparently the only one in the city radius, next is 90 miles away and then the next dealership is 200+ with about 4. Will give it a go nonetheless

Your expectation is unreasonable. Where have you seen these at that price on new $116k units w/o MSDs and loyalty incentive?

about 300 bucks higher I guess not bad?

That’s fair enough, I thought I’d seen some pretty discounted MSRP and when I was plugging those into LH Calc and adding the incentives provided it was taking me to that figure, but again - that expectation off MSRP might be way off, which is my bad!

This month? Historical data isn’t too useful for setting a target on a MY '25 this month. Different inventory, and my suspicion is less trunk money for dealers. I struggled to match my '23 deal on a '25, had to go with a '24 demo in the end.
