Call customer service. My EQS is a former loaner and the rep told me when exactly i will loose my free charging.
Mercedes customer service or electrify america?
Mercedes Benz customer srrvice. They have a dedicated team for that.
Does the unplug, start new session and plug it in again still work for free EA 30 mins charging?
Did yours start when you activated the Mercedes me charge or when the car was put in service
Yes still works
I just called they said they don’t have a way of checking the actual end date and that I have to call electrify America. Which department did you speak to?
For sure i did not call EA
I called 8003676372
Or this number
8555023851
When the car was put in service, so i will loose my free charging 6 months before 2 year lease will end.
Do you have it set to eco charge? Mine wouldnt kicknoff charging on my home charger either when in eco charge mode. I turned it off and havent had a problem since
ahh this I did not know! I just called MB and turns out mine ends 7 and a half months before turn in. I use EA almost exclusively (easy to get to and never a line in my area) so looks like the party is over soon! lol
No, I don’t use eco charge. I need to charge today since my last charge so will find out if it works right away.
Yeah same here on not knowing from the service date. Found out my car was put in service Dec 2022 so it expired at the end of December. I only used EA sparingly cause of the ridiculous lines here but it was a nice benefit when traveling.
Hey, anyone have any luck getting Mercedes to replace their squeaky brakes under warranty? My wheels are always extremely dirty with bronze colored brake dust and the brakes have been squeaking for over 7000 miles I’m at around 11.5k now. I leased it as a loaner and it had around 1k miles. Seems like it’s getting worse, very embarrassing problem.
Yes, it does. Both count as two separate free charging sessions.
I do it all the time (when no one else is waiting for a charger of course…)
Sometimes on the second plug in the charger gets finicky and does not recognize the account (and asks for a CC to pay). Those times I activate the charger from the Mercedes App and problem solved.
This is a common problem. Mine squeak since i got it a year ago. Just been too busy to take it in for service. But, yes, it’s a known problem by MB and I’ve read in most cases they fix it under warranty. The whole breaking system on these are horrible, especially pre 2024 models!
I got all 4 rotors and break pads changed, also the sway bar links changed for suspension noise. Got to a point my local dealer told me the squeak is normal and refused to do anything else to it. Went to a different dealer they changed the rotors in the back and now squeaking is gone.
How many miles/months into your lease were you?
Because apparently the car has to be in service less than a year for them to do anything abt it
