Mercedes Benz EQS Lease Superthread - 2

Update guys: I visited the dealership and they updated software. In 4 days getting the same error - battery malfunction.

Anyone else faced a similar issue after software upgrade as well?

Turn in fee and offsetting credit + $500 damage waiver will show up in your lease end statement. If you don’t get it within a month, call and ask them to email to you. I had to that when I did not receive mine.

Jeez you were charged more than me… did you go WAY over mileage or have some serious damage to it?

5k over mileage and a $900 charge for a missing charger that I had to get overturned. Whole process took 2 months but finally am settled with mbfs

Was wondering, do you get credit for unused miles, let say you have a lease for 7.5k, but only used 1k miles at lease end.
Would you get credit for the unused miles?
I mean if they charge you for over mileage, why can’t you get credit for unused miles? Is only fair right?

LOL, that’s not how it work :stuck_out_tongue:

I know, just a thought, wouldn’t it be nice if that the case lol

Surprised you got charged for the charging cable?

Yep. Auto-VIN automatically did it. Thankfully curb rash passed/was ignored

Yeah curb rash is never charged unless its cracked.

AutoVIN didn’t charge me for the cable. I said it didn’t come with it and blamed the dealer.

Lessees tend to overvalue the “worth” of being undermileage on a lease. Not sure about MBFS, but IIRC BMWFS gives a max credit of $300 for being under-mileage.

Basically a pittance. Not sure if any other lessor even gives such a credit at lease end

Good to know, guess getting credit on unused miles is a thing, just hoping all manufacturers have it

$185 for adapter. the heck.

Has anyone had an issue with their EQS not charging on L2 charger? I plugged the car in today and the charging indicator in the dash keeps blinking 0.0 where it shows the kWH being used to charge. It’s like it’s trying to connect but failing. No issues with our Tesla on the same charger (minus adapter for EQS).

Hi

Does anyone know if there is any limit on how many days a Mercedes-Benz car can be kept at dealer location for in warranty repair?

What options do we have?

I have mine at dealer for more than 10 days.

Web page up with more details. Integration onto onboard nav + plug & charge is cool. No OTA update for the feature is not.

at 30 days you can request a buyback.

unfortunately parts for the eqs have been hard to source and MB’s solution is a buyback or trade in assist.

I loved my eqs for the month i got to drive it but the power steering failed and i’ve been waiting for almost eight weeks for a replacement gearbox to arrive from germany. yesterday my MB rep strongly recommended i pursue a buyback and i plan to accept monday.

You probably have an older Tesla wall connector. Only gen 3 or higher wall connectors can charge anything other than Tesla no-ev’s

No, I have the latest one that does non-Teslas with the adapter they provide. It’s the same one I’ve been using on the EQS. The car started charging after an hour or so; I don’t know if it needed to get warmed up since it’s been cold here but didn’t have the issue in recent weeks in the cold. Going to take it to the dealer if it happens again.

Separate but kind of related for everyone with EQS, I seem to have lost my EA free charging not even 1 year into my lease. Mine was a loaner but I was the first one to activate the charging so I don’t know if it goes off the original in service date regardless of when charging is activated.
