It’s hardened my negotiating position, so very likely I won’t be getting one at least this month.
From what I see on this site and as expected, deals are way worse than what they were end of December. Probably need to wait until end of March now.
Seems kind of odd, if they weren’t selling in Dec 2023, how is reducing incentives in Jan 2024 going to help them with the dozens of MY 2023 cars they have sitting around? Did the economy get much better?
As far as I can tell, they did sell a lot of them in December. I was looking for an EQ so was watching inventory at various dealers, new and loaners. Several local deals fell through because they sold cars I was negotiating on. In early January, I saw way less inventory. Haven’t checked since then.
My EQS has been in the shop for two months now due to a defective rear drive shaft . I’ve been considering requesting a buyback, but I’m hesitant because I’m not sure I can find another ev I like at the same price point. That might change if the i7 deals get better in the near future. In the meantime I’ve been making the most of my (EQS suv) loaner and enjoying the extra miles.
I see at least 3-5 current gen X5s and 2 to 3 X7s, GLS and Cayenne on my commute every day, and my subdivision has at least 3 Levantes. I have never seen a Mercedes EQE or EQS of any kind anywhere outside of the dealer lot in my life. I guess if they are selling a lot of them it’s not around here.
Curious as well
It was a GLE 350 with 70k sticker. I enjoyed it.
Dude keep paying the EQS lease and enjoy the GLE.
Wouldn’t GLE lease be more ?
He’s paying cheap ass EQS money to drive a loaner GLE. Hopefully 450 with AMG line. So he’s coming ahead if his EQS is never fixed hah.
Edit shit I just saw you are in a 350. Meh.
For those whose eqs stuck for repair, do you have to go to the dealer u lease your car for to get a loaner or will any dealer give you a loaner when they keep your car for repair? Thanks
GLE 350 lease would prolly still be double what I’m paying on the EQS.
Well yeah, but that’s just because GLE isn’t getting free money from the USA taxpayers hehe.
I won’t take a GLE over EQS though, only GLS. GLE is lacking too many luxury/comfort feature vs EQS.
any dealer so long as they have a loaner available
What does the GLS have that the GLE doesn’t have? Second row sun shades and more legroom?
PS, we have a GLS and EQS Sedan … I agree the EQS Sedan has a nicer interior. I just can’t tell what the GLS has that the GLE doesn’t. Like both SUVs can be optioned with massaging seats and AMG Line.
I believe both the SUVs have the older “E Class” style interior that is still nice, but is starting to feel dated compared to an S Class or EQS.
Roller sunshade for roof, captain chair are 2 I can think of. It’s kind of like EQE vs EQS as well, there’s small things that’s just not as nice on the EQE. Also, the badge factor of having a top end mercedes vs mid end one.
Dafuq… the GLE panoramic roof has no motorized shade even as an option? Someone posted this on the MBWorld GLE forum… seems like the panoramic roof does have a roller shade on the GLE? (they added the red arrow, not me)
Yeah we went with the second row bench because we needed the 5th seat when the rear seats are folded flat.
The red arrow points to just the sunroof that slides open, not the shade though. But I have not seen GLE in person, just from Mercedes website I don’t see any roller sunshade for sunroof in any photos.
Sunroof shade is not that common of a feature on non flagship cars though. My old bmw 5 series has no sunroof shades as well.
