GLE I had did not have HUD, lane assist, active cruise. The 3 main things that I can think of that my EQS has.
I didn’t add that red arrow. But look at the far left column of the image I posted (ignore the red arrow). The image suggests there is an automatic roller (maybe it’s an option?)
Negotiated the selling price of EQS 450+ down to %21 off MSRP before incentives today over the phone. Dealer agreed, so went to the dealership to get this.
Once I reached there, I asked them to stack $7500 lease cash and $9500 fleet. They refused to stack these rebates with the negotiated selling price
They claimed they have a “MB dealer cash” of $7500 this month (Jan 2024) which is in addition to the $7500 lease cash and that dealer cash was already accounted in the selling price. They claimed that this dealer cash can’t stack with $9500 fleet.
They were only willing to use either $7500 lease cash + $9500 fleet or $7500 lease cash + $7500 dealer cash.
Has anybody seen this before? Are they correct? I don’t see any reason why they would lie about not being able to use fleet with the supposed “$7500 dealer cash”.
I walked out. Why were they not willing to use $7500 dealer cash + $7500 lease cash + $9500 fleet?
Dealer cash is not an incentive. Sounds like You did not mention " before dealer cash" . Unfortunately they can but they do not have to pass any portion of dealer cash to the customer as a dealer discount.
Pretty sure I saw on Edmunds that dealer cash is to the dealer (hence the name) and most if at all do not pass that on to the customer in addition to the other rebates. If you browse the deals here, brokers are doing $17K on EQS which is the $7500 federal and $9500 fleet.
Were you asking them for $7500+$9500 on top of 21% or $7500+$7500+$9500 ?
I was asking for $7500+$9500 on top of 21%
They were already passing it on. That wasn’t the issue. Their issue was that they said if they do that, they can’t use fleet.
Looks like they already baked in the $7500 dealer cash in the 21%. They will likely give you the additional $2000 for fleet. In reality fleet is only $2000 not $9500 because everyone is able to get the $7500 dealer cash without fleet. This is why I always asks for monthly payments and DAS before coming into the dealership.
Makes sense. I find it useful to tell them what incentives I’m looking for when talking about % off MSRP before incentives.
21% before the $17k sounds like too good of a deal though, makes it something like $450-$500 effective monthly ? End of December, best I saw were $600s.
That makes sense. I wasn’t aware $9500 fleet included dealer cash
Yeah, about $500. I guess I was aiming for too much. But then how were people getting $450-$550 effective monthly last year.
That was a year ago, completely different programs, and I think most of those were loaners. End of March should be interesting.
Too bad the resids this year are like 10% worse than last year. Even with a lot of discounts, it makes the super-deals basically impossible. Unless you’re somehow getting @djrabbi’s one pays.
Maybe MBUSA should just give EQS away for free?
Too bad Mercedes don’t allow lease transfer. If not I don’t mind transferring my eq lease to someone else to save on time wasted for claiming lemon.
Well they can just sit on all these MY2023 vehicles until March 2024 then.
Let’s see what February brings.
I’m eyeing EQS AMG but insurance getting out of hand. They keep saying national 30-40% increases across the board
Too bad @derekoh1991 can’t get you a deal on this… it’s been sitting around a long azz time.
Probably a good thing none of the dealers indulged my lowball offers on eqs’s and eqes. I feel like its something id have fun with for like a month then id get bored
Naaa eqs AMG. SL63 is garbage. I went to go see it at local store. Told me not to buy one. So many issues with them
