Mercedes A220 Deal Check - $1K DAS + $341/m for 15K Miles - MSRP $45k

Hi
Can I kindly get a deal check for A220 NEW, helping out a close family member:

Year, Make, Model, and Trim: 2019 Mercedes Benz A220 FWD New
MSRP: $45200
Selling Price: $36500
Monthly Payment: $341 (Including 9% CA Tax)
Drive-Off Amount: $1020+7 MSD
Months: 36
Annual Mileage: 15K
MF: 0.00051 (after 7 MSD, it goes to 0.00001)
Residual: 55%
Incentives: $750 loyalty Lease Credit, $750 fleet
Region: CA - Norcal

  1. I looked around the whole region, this was the deepest discount I could find. Loaners all had decent miles on them, so wasn’t the biggest fan of the idea, as the residual does drop a bit
  2. Yes I know I can get a 330i loaner for less. Not the car wanted.
  3. 15k miles doesn’t help but yes we need that many miles

Also, thoughts on maintenance package? Is that residualized with Mercedes.
Planning on rolling that DAS into monthly thu.

That looks solid, especially given 15k miles and including tax. Go for it.

Effective payment of $371.88.

That 19.2% discount is amazing on a new car (MY 2019 or 2020). I haven’t had experience with the MB maintenance package, but I am sure people like @Calvin.MB could answer that.

Last month for 19 lease support. Discount seems crazy. I would pull the trigger.

What about the maintenance?

It is residualized. A220 shouldnt be too bad. It depends on what the F&I will sell it to you for.

I’d say it looks way more than solid for a new A-class. I think it’s a great deal.

To the OP, MB does (or used to) post the price (full, not residualized) of maintenance packages on-line. You could see what’s listed there and then, as @Calvin.MB, see what F&I offers to you.

Shown below. So my assumption is that it is going to be residualized?

That is a lot for a couple of oil changes on a 4-cylinder engine.

They may try to sell you it at full price, but asked for it to be residualized (it can DEF be residualized). My understanding is that you can also bargain the price the pre-paid maintenance, but don’t quote me on that.

Nothing w/ the 3-pointed star is cheap, alas. :frowning:

Not worth it. Service A runs 180-220 depending on the dealer and service B runs 400-500. Look for coupons on dealer service pages, dealers match coupons of other local dealers.

So if it’s residualized at 55%, why wouldn’t it be worth it? At worst, OP breaks even.

I forgot the part where it’s residualized - that actually changes things. OP has to do some math, you’re right, op would probably would come out slightly ahead in that case

Always under $100 at the dealer for my Volvo. The Mercedes markup is real.

Any idea what it would typically cost? Again its not for me, so convenience at some $$ is ok i guess

Ask a well-known independent mechanic.

If the person you are getting if for rather just take it to the dealer, get the maintenance plan and negotiate it.

Indeed. My family and I have happily driven MBs for many, many yrs, but the markup (incl maintenance) can get to the point where it’s not necessarily so enjoyable to own (esp since other brands have really closed the gap in certain areas that are important to me), unless you can get a great lease deal like the OP.

A great deal combined with a reputable Independent mechanic for German cars makes ownership enjoyable.

This is an amazing discount for one of these.

I would jump on this immediately.

Dammit they won’t stack lease credit with fleet…
