Did someone else started getting new random bugs after the latest software update (few days ago)? The built-in navigation got very buggy. Mine is very zoomed in so difficult to use that navigation.
Another question: I am assuming the Lucid car is connected to AT&T service provider and gets all their data from them. Could it be possible that my navigation and streaming (Spotify) issues are arising due to bad connectivity?
I strictly use CarPlay, which got noticeably better after the latest update. Have you tried performing a manual restart or making sure your map data is up to date?
Depending on where you are at in the county, ATT can have issues which would impact Spotify connectivity. Iād also recommend downloading the local copy of your map data so it doesnāt have to stream it.
Factory nav is not worth it. Time to detach from Tesla mindset. I have set it for my āHomeā and āworkā so I know the estimate travel time. For anything else, Google maps with Carplay. If you are on Android, get a cheap iPhone. (Brand new Iphone SE from Walmart for $150 on Straighttalk)
Certain times I notice a quality issue with TIDAL music. I used to wonder if itās due to the connectivity or the music file is indeed lower quality. For the type of music that I listen, lossless ones are rare to find anyways. Since Spotify bitrate is too low, I believe it should be good even with low connectivity. May be, a reboot of the infotainment will help?
I am using it through hotspot from Android. I have offline maps downloaded anyway in it. My Visible service has been pretty good and had no issue with hotspot yet. For unlocking it, there is a way to get this done by paying for a basic Tracphone service for one month. I am yet to see if it will work. Will know soon by next month.
EDIT: The only issue here is that you canāt attend calls received on Android phone when on carplay. Itās a minor inconvenience. I am planning to use carplay for road trips. For local drives, I donāt use any navigation much.
I have done something similar in the past for Verizon phones. It seems to work just fine. Cancelled it within two days and got refunded the activation fee too. 2 months later the phone is unlocked.
Had a few times that random rap music starts playing. Not running thru any of the apps or radio. Anyone else had similar? I tried putting on the radio when it happened and i heard both songs playing.
you get a siriusXM sub with the car. any chance you were listening to sirius?
the carās incredibly obnoxious about automatically playing whatever music or audio you were listening to previously as soon as you open the door even if you have no interest in it doing so.
Yes. It has been happening with me. Not rap but sometimes pop music starts playing randomly. The sound quality is good so I am sure it is not radio. It is also not from my Spotify. In fact, at times it would pause my Spotify to start playing its own music. I donāt have any Carplay running either. I am thinking maybe it is a subscription service like SiriusXM running in the background but no way to pause or stop it either.
While the car is on, if you go to the settings page on the iPad screen, the About section has your name and the software version showing there is also a big AIR logo. If you press and hold that logo for about 20 seconds it will reset the infotainment system. Try doing that because its going to be one of the first things they tell you to do.
Lol. I just came to say this! Itās incredibly annoying, you canāt stop the beats! Also thatās whatās causing automatic stop play my songs or even the radioā¦WTF? Didnāt know about the infotainment restart but stillā¦
The restart did not help me. I also have the pause and play of music.
I was thinking the pause/play might be caused by either bad signals for AT&T and/or if the Spotify is open on my phone as well as Lucid.
Iāve griped about the front driver and passenger car doors not staying open before, but after having the door slam back into my legs causing me to spill my hot coffee all over my lap, I decided to call up Lucid and formally see if there was something to do about it. I had mentioned it to the mobile service when they were out previously and the said he tried to ābendā the door stops even further to try to get them to hold but there was nothing more he could do. Customer service got in contact with the local office, who then asked me to send some videos of the problem. I sent two, roughly 30 seconds to a minute, of me repeatedly opening the door slowly and then normally, and the door not staying open just about every time. I then received this delightful email in response:
" Good Afternoon ilPapa,
āxā has provided me with both videos regarding your door concern. Based on the footage from both, the door is not being operated under normal conditions. The door checks installed in the Lucid Air are not meant to stop the door they are meant to hold the door. To ensure the door is at the desired position it must be held until you reach the desired hold position on the door check. I have attached pictures of the door check to further illustrate the hold positions. In addition to the position of the door itself the incline of the car can also place a factor. Based on the videos you have provided, and the inspection performed by the mobile technician, the vehicle door is operating as intended."
I called customer service to see if the local office could provide an illustrated manual detailing proper door operating conditions. Currently waiting to hear back.
