You guys are both right! Thanks for your thoughts.
I”m having the same debate, EQS 580 SUV or Lucid.
Lucid called today and have an in stock stealth for 3k off (in stock discount), 2k conquest, 2k referral from poster above.
77K MSRP
How do the lease numbers look on the Lucid?
Quoting me $8,800 down, $759 month, before the three rebates, but they can’t explain how the rebates will apply to the lease payment.
Did you go to a studio or were these numbers shared over the phone?
Over the phone. I had an order in from a year or so ago when everybody here were, but canceled last fall. They called me this morning.
PS, numbers were on an 18 month lease, 36 might be better with the massive down payment
18/36 numbers look the same, I’ve ran both numbers. Btw the website is pretty accurate.
I would take the EQS over the base Lucid Air Pure, as well as the base Air Touring. However I would probably take Air Touring+ with DD Premium/Pro, SS Pro, and glass roof w/Tahoe interior.
The rebates are a cash back mailed to you. So the “hack” only looks good on an 18 month lease and you can calculate your effectively monthly by simply subtracting (sum of discounts / 18). For 36 months EQS is a way better deal, especially against a base lucid Air Pure/Touring, the base ones are kind of shit.
The Grand Touring/Glass Air Touring is amazing though.
Also the good leases only work on 18/36 month options, not 24. I wouldn’t recommend their deal unless it’s the air touring+ that I mentioned previously, for 18 months, that’s a hell of a lot more money to pay for not that much.
You can just “apply” those discounts towards your downpayment and it’ll effectively wipe them out. So you should be at $1800 down $759/month effective after the 3 rebates! As @mborelse mentioned, the referral is a cash back, but the other two are upfront.
Obviously i’m biased since I started this thread and ended up choosing Lucid, but I would say if you value driving dynamics, ride quality, and design (interior/exterior) the Lucid is the way to go
If you value absolute cheapest way into a large luxury sedan, and better ADAS features, EQS will be the way to go. (Also hatch vs super wide sedan-like trunk+ frunk)
Anyway, please use my referral code if you do decide to move forward!
I ended up going with a 2023 white/tahoe Touring. But I probably would’ve gone with that Pure stealth if it was available when i got mine
I think ride quality on the EQS SUV is far superior to Lucid, though that might be due to the SUV form factor. I did love the Lucid though and really wish I got myself into a GT, I chose the 580 SUV instead. EQS Sedan is way too big, all of the cars in that class are, Lucid is far superior with compact form.
FWIW I put a deposit down last week before deciding EQS and was told that all promo offers (referral, on-site pickup, conquest) were mailed check rebates. Probably for the better, since it means if the car gets totaled, you didn’t lose a down payment.
If I had the choice of a 2023 Air Touring with Tahoe interior, I would definitely be inside a Lucid instead right now! However, the Mercedes ADAS is so good, I think might be the best in the game, I’ve driven Tesla/Hyundai/Nissan/BMW, Mercedes is amazing on that front.
Good information. It’s funny that the sales advisor can not explain what you did so simply. I was spoon feeding him the answer and just asking for confirmation. I asked “are the credits mailed to me, applied to the monthly or subtracted from the down. He couldn’t answer, just said I need to apply first and find out??
I haven’t driven Lucid, just leased and EQS SUV every one says ride quality is good but I don’t agree. The suspension is too soft and the car just moves too much. If the road is not smooth the car keeps moving all the time. it hits another hole without finishing its movement. With stiffer suspensions movement is harsher but it is over before you hit another obstacle.
This my initial observation, I always drove sporty cars though, Bmws, Alfa Romeos so will give it little bit more time.
Agreed, their finance department is not great. They outsource it to Bank of America, so only they can give you the real numbers and Lucid sales advisors barely know anything themselves!
That’s interesting. I guess to each their own, but I find it to be really well damped at least in swift and sprint. In comfort, it’s closer to a Mercedes with the cushiness and moving around, if you don’t want to feel bumps. But I find myself going almost triple digits without even noticing, since i find it handles with so much confidence.
And i’ve owned a bunch of sports cars from BMW M cars, Porsche GT cars, etc…
I wasn’t talking about Lucid. I was talking about EQS SUV.
Oh I misread, sorry
How do you like your Lucid drive and lease? Possible to share the Lease doc (ofcourse after striking off all personal info)?
I’m really enjoying the Lucid, I have an awd pure that I got in June 2023 so almost a year. We got a second one in December, here is our lease deal (please note they have reduced the price of the car and the credit as well since we got it in December):
The double reward referral program looks like it is ending but the regular referral program is still good for $750-1250 off your new Lucid, here is my referral code if you’d like to use it:
Best of luck!
Thank you Aseet. I am chosing a Air Touring with MSRP of 98K.
How did the CCR of $18750? I will check mine is much smaller.
I am chosing $6500 Down payment and with taxes and first month payment it is about $8200. I have monthly payment of $822.00
your
