List of Lenders that Allow for Third-Party Buyouts

Are you 100pct sure on that? I was told otherwise but this would be great news if so.

Yes, sold couple myself. Not sure if it makes a difference which credit union.

Probably, it was mentioned somewhere else, but does anyone know if Stelantis Financial Services allows unrestricted 3rd party buyout?
I would add this financial institution to that list.
TIA

A document shared on the site Stellantis Financial Services 3rd party Lease Buyout Policy made it appear that a sale to a third party (non cdjr dealer) would be at a market/higher rate and cdjr dealers would also incur a fee.

I’ve sold two SFS leases to the same CDJR dealer and it was the same as my buyout price contradicting the doc.

Anyone else have data points?

I’d bet SFS doesn’t know their own rules.

They also weren’t allowing ev/phev personal buyouts for a few months. I suspect they originally had more restrictive buyout guidelines and then relaxed them.

Can AutoNation dealership who has Hyundai but not Kia buy out a KIA lease?

You can sell a Kia to any dealer nowadays. I sold one to a Non Group Nissan dealer

Really? I can sell mine to Carmax?

Carmax might not want it, they don’t like that Kia / Hyundai need 90 days to send titles.

Check the sign in the lobby as some will and most won’t

FYI - I just had a deal where the customer had a Navigator through Ford Credit, and the payoff was $3,200 higher to the dealership than what Ford told the customer his payoff was, so this list should be updated.

Ok but that’s false.

I saw the payoff sheet with my own eyes.

Other strange occurrences… Helping a friend get into a new Tesla and they were able to buyout his Kia lease. I didn’t believe it until the day he dropped the car off but sure enough Tesla took it.
