I’m not saying distracted driving is less of a problem than big cars. I’m saying that big cars ARE a problem on their own and we have data to prove it. We need to attack any reasonable angle we can to reduce fatalities. And it’s a total joke that the govt has been incentivizing people to get bigger more dangerous cars they have absolutely no need for.

Yes and that’s one of the reasons I personally wanted a larger vehicle when I got the frontier. With the current govt policy, It’s an arms race. And the losers are humans who are the same bags of meat they’ve been since Adam and Eve, or Adam and Steve, whichever way Adam swam.

I prefer large SUV even though its only me in the SUV. In Florida 95% of the time I pass a SUV its only one person anyway. But at least you feel safer compare to a sedan that can split in half I prefer to flip in a SUV than get an accident in a standard sedan.

right I understand that people feel safer but as said above it’s an endless arms race which is really stupid and hence why you have Escalades and Tahoes of present which are basically tanks. It also increases road wear and wastes energy for no reason.

This won’t affect EV from what I understand as there is no emission, this gives car makers a bigger reason to make EV SUVs and dump gas ones so we can get to 100% EV future faster.
Human fatalities in % form is not a big deal, we have overpopulation anyway.
I want a big car because of its luxury status, nothing else.

You think that manually texting and driving is safer then hands free voice messaging? I’m not saying you should do either but pushing a button on my steering wheels to make a call, text or change the station is way safer then picking up my phone and doing it manually

none of that will matter soon anyway, cars automated driving is getting better year after year. This is the worse it will ever be.
We have 10 years at least before ever car is automated. Plenty of time for more morons to kill you on the road

Death is death, when it comes, it comes. My family policy has been very simple since we came to the USA. We need to always have one last survivor collect the money from the lawsuit.
Everything has an end and a beginning. Death doesn’t bother me, especially since I have insurance for if I die lol.
