Leasing help for 2025 Toyota Grand Highlander XLE

,

I’ve reached out to Jim. Waiting to hear back from him. I’ll take a look at the Sienna. Thanks!

How many will be in car seats? If 3 or more, please at least go thru the exercise of understanding the car seat arrangement in practice, and you will quickly understand the utility of minivans, particularly with 3+ in car seats.

Have you looked at pre owned 2024 grand highlander? It will be much cheaper to finance at this point. You could probably get a Lexus TX lease via marketplace.

I’ll have two children in car seats.

What would be the advantage in looking at a pre-owned one that’s only from the previous model year?

Are the savings on a 1 year old pre-owned enough to justify going the used route? Interest will be higher on a pre-owned car as well. So, it’s not just savings from original MSRP at play here.

You can get 15% off a Kia Carnival right now in the Marketplace

If OP can get 1 preowner in the low 40s with a low enough APR it surely beats the quote OP has posted on the 2025.

One of the cars mentioned by the OP might have an MSRP close to $60K (not sure if OP is looking at hybrid models). Is a used 2024 in that same trim line in the low $40K realistic?

And, OP, is there a single trim of the Highlander you prefer? You’ve mentioned 2 trims w/ very different MSRPs.

First post mentioned XLE, those can be obtained in the low 40s from a quick glance at website listings with respectable miles. $42k plus TTF w/5k down @ 6.49% 72mo is $700.

OP if you plan on putting little miles (5000 or less) maybe consider, as I mentioned in my original post, the Lexus TX350 with 33/7500 miles lease contract.

FWIW, Cargurus is showing 2024 Limited trims in the low to mid-40s.

Not sure what rates are on used cars, but OP might be better off looking at a new car financing.

@Ryoung - Toyota is offering finance rates of 4.99% for 60 months and 5.99% for 72 months.

Right, but the MSRP for a gas XLE (minus DPH) is “only” $44K. Hvbrid XLE is closer to $45.5. But OP’s deal has it listed for $50K. Not sure if there’s a lot of options on that car, or…? Which is why I asked OP to clarify.

Finding a well-priced used GH and used car loan APR would be way low on my priority list in the OP’s situation.

$42.5 gets you a $50k MSRP Carnival or Telluride while they’re available. As well as the better APR for new car loan financing.

15% off is pretty much unheard of on these. Doubt it lasts. Maybe management bought way too many used cars anticipating “supply shortage” 2.0 and need to make space both literal as well as financial. Who knows. I’d jump on that before it goes away.

I suspect OP’s is wedded to a Grand Highlander.

I do agree that finding a used GH will not be a high-yield endeavor.

Thanks for the info!

Primary preference is GH Hybrid. If that’s not available, then XLE or Platinum is the alternative.

Thanks, based on everyone’s valuable input here, I’ve decided to go with the new car financing option.

I mentioned the XLE and Platinum because those were the options the dealer had available, but my preference is actually the Hybrid trim.

Did the LH broker get back to you?
